I've recently been accepted to Holy Family's Accelerated Nursing program-- I understand they have just begun their first cohort, so finding information is very difficult and I just want to be informed before I make any sort of decision. Are there any current HFU accelerated nursing students or traditional nursing students who can speak to their experience with the university? I've seen many negative posts but they also seem a bit outdated! Thanks!
That has been my experience too, Mike. Don has been great! And yes, I am also getting nervous now too. I'm in a holding pattern until I know, so I hope to find out in the next week or two. If I don't get in I have to quit my job, pack up my stuff, and move within a month.
That is tough. At least you do have that. I have other plans but this one just feels like the best one. I check my email way too much--I have an app tracker that they sent me because my application was incomplete at one point and they needed something else from me. It currently says Status: complete: Pending review
Tierravalenn, do you have the app tracker thing? If so does it say anything like accepted or decision made?
Yes Don is fantastic! I think you will both be ok, stay positive and patient it really is so hard when you just want to know all you have been working for is justified! I literally felt your pain for months until yesterday! Sara I do PR and Event Planning for CME and medical events so I guess I technically have been in the field if we look at it that way! haha. But good luck to both of you and keep me updated! My good friend went here and she had a great experience and got a great job within a few months of graduating!
I checked my email every 5 minutes like a crazy person! - My app tracker said the same thing too and now it says Complete - Decision made. If you guys ever want to chat find that group and you will see my personal F/B page and you can message me!
When I was submitting all my letters and transcripts, one school was lagging behind and taking their time sending the transcript in. They sent me an email that said I was missing one and my application was incomplete. On that email I have something that I can click (app tracker) and it redirects me to a page that gives me some brief information about the application and its status.
I was trying to find a way to post a picture but I don't think I can post images on here
try this it should work
I sent Don a message about this and he just wrote back and said that since I submitted everything required within 7 days of starting my application they didn't have to send me a link requesting more information keeping my app opened. HE said my application is under review and expects all decisions to be available by the 2nd week of March. That's too late for me, so if I don't hear by the very beginning of March, I'll have to move forward with the school in MN. Let's see what happens...what's meant to be will be!

That's later than expected
I received my acceptance letter on Friday afternoon! I'm very excited that I got in and that I don't have to relocate to MN for school. Looking forward to being in this program with you TawTaw and Tiera!Mike any word yet? Fingers crossed!!!
No not yet
Sara, when was your date you sent in the application? Did it come via email? What time of day? Sorry for the questions
I had to hand deliver a transcript on Jan 31 ( the last day of the deadline) otherwise I would not have been even considered for this priority deadline. So I may be one of the last ones to be looked at unfortunately.
CONGRATS Sara and Taw!!!
Glad you don't have to relocate, must be a big relief to stay put.
Hoping that today is the day!
