I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?
I don't have any classes to take unless I take gen ed credits towards a BS. Which I'm planning on using Summer to unwind from the program and study. So I'm not taking any classes in the Summer. But I doubt they'd let us have th full 5k for one semester, as there would be no way for them to guarantee that the $$ would go towards school expenses. Since that's way over tuition rate. It's a nice thought though, to have that money for scrubs and supplies. Oh well.
I can't wait though for Orientation to have real live people to answer all our questions!
Yeah I believe it's before orientation. SIL can you clarify where you read that?
You must turn in your both the $38 check and acceptance letter as well as a $50 check at the ybor campus for the background check and finger prints before orientation date. They also said u wanna take care of background check asap because it can take up to 10 days to process and the nursing department must have your results before orientation.
Here's some bad news for me but good news for others: I received a letter of declination from HCC for their nursing program. My A&P I and II transferred in as beginner courses as opposed to the 2085 and 2086. I refuse to take another A&P course though so HCC is out for me. My courses also didn't transfer in properly at SPC but I was able to request and receive alternate satisfaction with them so my dream and goal of becoming a nurse is still alive. Good luck to you all.
