I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Ha! We didn't meet, but I'm pretty sure I saw you. I recognized you and your friend, from a&p 2 lecture. Who did you have for a&p1 lab? The other class I think I recognize you from is micro lecture.

Ohh wow we should definitely meet now..if i see u i would know u :) a&p lab i had Dr. bess! n u were micro no way!!

We didn't have a&p1 lab then, I can't remember my professors name, she was that horrible ?. But I had bess for micro lecture. I took her in fall 2013.

So do we just register for classes the same way we normally would? We only sign up for NP1? And no we don't need . Does anyone know if the books are in yet?

Yes, you'd register the same way. And I only signed up for NP1, but if you are taking additional classes you'd want to register now. Thank goodness we don't have to purchase the insurance. I'd also like to know about the book situation. I would like to purchase them soon.

I'm wondering how much they'd be from books & more. I've called them twice to see & they say they don't have the ebooks yet. But they will be getting them, the packages have been ordered. All they can say is they'll be cheaper than Hcc bookstore. Does anyone know the difference in price or know someone that has bought them from there in the past?

I think u can save some money on those books but it won't be a big number i bought books there before saved like tax money i would say..but from what i have heard the red bookstore only sell the print..again not sure u might want to check it..

oh if u get the book u can start practicing for math calculation! that book was not packed or anything in the box..so there is that if u get the book than wait..

Well I don't think I'll be waiting on them to get the ebooks in, if I can get them from Hcc bookstore now. I want both and the red store says they only have the books (not the ebooks) at this time. Supposably they'll have both in a couple weeks. You're probably right, won't save a whole lot.

on top of that i forgot to mention the book was actually like 680 or something n with the additional discount the sheet we got at the orientation reduced the cost to 649.90...so either way u will save something besides it this is how they make money n these books r good for np1 n 2

Yay, I'm ready to start studying! Lol.

I'm a little crazy, I love math.

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum and I've been going thru some of the past threads.

I have started on my pre-req's and I'm getting ready to sign up for Anatomy I this upcoming Spring. Question: Is anyone familiar with the distant online class at the Dale Mabry location with Smith as the teacher? Should Anatomy be taken in person or is online sufficient? It would be easier for me to do it online than going to the Brandon location.

Thanks!
