I have decided to start a thread for HCC future nurses that are applying for class beginning 2015 of spring. I would like us all to be able to share and relate to one another, while experiencing this exciting moment. I know it may seem a little early but better sooner then later. This will be my last semester before I can apply to the program. I am registered to take micro with lab and humanities fall 2014. I will be able to submit my application in right after my grades are posted. The deadline for the 2015 spring class is June 1st if I am not mistaken. How is everyone else holding up?

Dont know why that kept sending but Yalissa I just saw what you said... grr. I rushed out at the end I really had to pee. Anyways, I was the girl who won the second backpack for saying what we did in each room yesterday or whatever lol

Congrats!!! We'll meet when classes begin. I was looking for the funky socks, but didn't see them.

Hey guys just wanted to let everyone know if they are looking for a place to get their immunization and physical you can try lakeside occupational medical center..the titer cost like 200ish and the shots varies, i got the appointment right away! and you can get your physical done here as well.. just incase for the people with no insurance this place provide discounted rate on the shots. Hope this helps! good luck

P.S- also i called and went to the book store at the plant city and they still have the book and they said they will not refund or replace the books...it was weird or maybe wrong info, but whatever you do make sure you ask them..I'm planning on waiting till the whole mess is sorted out!

I am able to offer ASHI CPR Pro for Healthcare workers at 30.00 if anyone is interested. The course can be completed online and then after the hands-on performance is completed in person, you will get your card. Valid for 2 years. For more info text me at 813-293-5551. I did sign up for nov 3rd. But Learey Tech (right next to Erwin) offers CPR/BLS for a cheap price. My husband has used them. If you're interested I have the phone number for the lady who teaches it.

What about the required ? I don't recall them discussing during orientation, but I know it is a requirement. Just wondering where we purchase it from. I have health insurance now, but I won't during school.

I had some vaccinations done today & the ARNP that saw me was talking about nursing school. She said, if I could give you one recommendation, get a good stethoscope. I said do you have a recommendation? She said a littmann cardio.

I don't remember hearing about that, or seeing that on CP site.
