I wanted to start a thread for those applying to HCC's Spring 2014 nursing program. I am a stay at home mom. I know its early but I wanted to get as much info as possible. The deadline isn't until 6/1. I'm a current HCC student. My pre-req GPA is 3.57 (all A's 1 B and 1 C ), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program.
What is everyone elses GPA? I heard its lower for the Spring.

Hehe. I almost chuckled a couple of times during that video last night. The one where the gal shoves a broken glass tube into her hand, then (instead of recoiling back in pain) continues to just grind it into her hand while blood goes all over!
Oh well. I guess I'll remember to run to the in-class shower while stripping my clothes off in wild abandon if I get corrosive acid on them during the semester..

I'm counting my lucky stars that the 'during' part really is true, and that others will get the refund as scheduled. My childcare plans are going to go 'buh-bye' if not!

I got a letter from HCC in the mail yesterday and my heart started to race. Then i opened it and it was a letter congratulating me for making the geek list, or A.K.A Dean's list for the Summer 2013 semester. CRAP!! Not what i wanted so i ripped it up and chucked it in the garbage.....Maybe next week.

I wonder if the Health Sciences Committee has met yet, and if there is an envelope (good or bad) sitting in a pile on someone's desk waiting to be mailed with my name on it? Kinda weird to think about in an odd philosophical way...
On that note, I need to turn my mind off and sleep...

Although, I've always kept my 'geek list' letters. I figure I can sit out on the porch one summer when I'm even old(er) with a glass of whiskey and chuckle about the days when I was a naive tadpole nurse.
