Hello all,
I thought I would start a thread for those of us applying to HCC's Spring 2013 nursing program. I am a Veterinary Technician/stay at home mom. I'm gathering everything for my application and hoping to drop it off at HCC soon. The deadline isn't until 6/1 but they recommend turning it in at least 30 days in advance. I'm a current HCC student. I was planning on applying for Fall this year, but am now expecting a little girl to arrive in July so spring it is! My pre-req GPA is 3.86 (all A's and 1 B), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program for DM evening classes. Good luck to all!

Yea this wait cant be good for the left atria, right atria, both ventricles, the purkinje fibers , Im trying to not forget whatever I learned in A&P2, TWO semserster ago!!! can you tell ? LOL !!!!
I'm saving my A&P refreshment for after an acceptance letter. Gotta enjoy the last real month of summer before Fall term starts.
LOL Im thinking the same thing except I would love to find out yes or no, to celebrate before fall starts, but thats a wish that probably wont come true.
Correct... at least based on the Spring 2012 thread, we won't start to see letters until mid September. Therefore mid-September to January is MORE than enough time for A&P refreshment, how I see it. :)
All of my documents are marked as recieved (I applied May 11.) Surprisingly, most of my college credits were entered into the transcript system and all pre-recs are entered in the correct categories in the Progress Towards Degree report. All of the planned nursing courses (Nursing I-IV, Mental Nursing) with the prospective semester dates shows up also when the report is generated for A.S. - Applicant / A.D.N. Basic (AS.APPL.NURB).
I would ask someone at records or advising about your documents if you are concerned about your transcripts. It seems that every semester some applicants do not have their documents shown as received in My Documents until after they get the acceptance letter. Many do not have their transcripts entered in the system. Hang in there, but if in doubt - ask!
Only 6 more weeks until the letters are sent out!

ok thanks for the heads up jodypRN, I turned all my docs in around the 28th of May so maybe thats the reason, and I also did not include transcripts because I only attended HCC after high schooll so maybe their double checking and thats whats taking so long I guess, anyway keeping my fingers crossed untill early sept.....
