Hillsborough Community College RN program fall 2013

I plan to attend to HCC's 2013 fall evening nursing program (applying in Jan). I am curious to see what people people's GPA is going in. I hear spring's is lower than fall's.

I'm hoping for SouthShore. I really don't want Dale Mabry, but I'm willing to go anywhere. Just happy to get accepted! SouthShore would be really convenient for me though!

I am hoping for PC days...I have no idea which hospitals are assigned to each campus. There may be multiple hospitals for a single campus. I live in Lakeland, and would like to do clinicals at LRMC, but I have no idea if they are on the list for HCC. Its only one day a week, so Tampa or Brandon wouldn't be a big deal.

I'm also from Lakeland and hoping for PC days! I have not seen LRMC listed on any of the HCC threads.

Does anyone know a *cheap* place around PC to get the varicella titer? The TB test can be done at the CVS minute clinic for $39, got that and my Tdap done today.

Where can I find the list of shots? I know that I had some of them when I was a child (which was a loooong time ago...lol), but do you have to get ALL of them again? I don't want to get unnecessary immunizations.

Lala, if you look in previous posts there is a list, I think in March. Has anyone started the calculations yet? I started a couple of weeks ago. There is a lot to memorize and if you have trouble with math, I would start going over it. Also, is anybody doing the CPR class in June? Hoping for DM mornings. Maybe we'll hear soon?

Has any of the alternates found out anything about applying for spring if you get taken out of the list for fall? Haven't heard anything yet so I was going to drop off my spring app tomorrow and try to talk to somebody but I just wanted to see if anyone's heard anything thank you

Hello Everyone,

Does anybody know if we can complete the CPR class just before nursing class starts? I signed up for a CPR class with HCC beginning of August, but I don't know if there is an earlier dead line to complete this class by. Thanks!!

I emailed them yesterday saying that I was accepted but can only attend one campus and if applying for spring would jeopardize my position for fall and they replied saying that applying for spring will not conflict with the fall status. In the event that you are accepted for the fall, the email said they will refund the $53.
