Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

This is my plan b, I just got notified that I got an interview for usf. I'm so nervous though because everything now is probably going to be solely off my interview. Usf is so competitive, this is so stressful omg

Does anyone know the highest gpa cut off it's been was it this past spring. 3.556?

While this may be true, HCC has received an increased amount of applicants this year, so it has been a bit more competitive. For the spring, I think they had 400 applicants and the cutoff was 3.556. This term there are over 500 applicants which is an insane amount. We are predicting the cutoff will be around 3.6 something, but there will most likely be people that choose not to come for whatever reason, so it will hopefully free up enough space for everyone to be able to get in.

Right?? I wonder why there is such an increase in applicants. It may have to do with the closure of many for profit schools in the area.

I never thought of that as a reason but it makes complete sense.

I do find it crazy how the previous two fall cutoffs were around 3.2, and now it could be 3.6. That's a HUGE jump. But I'm still not giving up with my 3.571. :-)

3.6?!! Omg HCC is super competitive. I want to go the cheaper route and get my adn, since I already have a B.S., instead of an ABSN,but I should probably prepare for plan B lol.

I'm in the same boat as you with the same gpa. I hoping it's not 3.6

Yeah I was thinking the gpa cutoff would be 3.57 or that would be the one where so many people had it they would go off your overall gpa
