Hillsborough Community College Fall 2017

Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

Have you taken Spanish courses as part of your pre-reqs for USF? I read that they require two semesters for the accelerated program.

According to what I understand, they ask you to be an alternate. You have to accept it and then they put you on an alternate list. If someone who was accepted decides not to go (matbe they decide to go to a nursing program in another school) or don't show up for orientation, someone from the nursing program at hcc would contact you to fill in the spot. How many people are on this alternate list? I have no idea. I was hoping I would get a last minute call last year but nope.

Waiting to hear if we get accepted/denied is pretty stressful. I can't imagine how terrible it is being waitlisted and waiting for a phone call to see if you get accepted or not. I bet it is torturous!

Afternoon. Around 4. I think they do end of day to avoid calls until next morning, lol.

I suggest they send out letters on Friday, so they really avoid us/questions during the weekend! ^_^

..Preferably this Friday.. lol

lol I was thinknig the same thing! If I were them, I would wait until a Friday to escape all those phone calls

Hey guys! I've been following the thread for awhile and I just wanted to say I'm so excited/nervous for the acceptance email! Does anyone know how good my chances are if I have a 3.8 GPA? I applied for DM days.

I think you are safe. That's a great GPA. However, a student was informed "campus assignments are not based on GPA". I think campus assignment is what people are worried about now.

If they dont assign campuses based off our preferences, then what is the point?
