Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)
Definitely! I follow this amazing nurse on instagram (@futurenp_) who is documenting her life as she goes through her program towards becoming a nurse practitioner.Everytime she posts I get even more inspired and motivated to become an NP! :) It might be a challenging journey, but we can all truly achieve anything we set our minds to!
I just looked her up on Instagram and followed instantly. She is a beast, definitely inspiring!
I work for an OB/GYN company now, and have for about 3 years, just not clinical. I'm torn, because the ins and outs of OB-GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine, so I am leaning in that direction. But I have also considered working under a transplant doc of some sort, my son is a heart transplant, so that has always been close to my heart.
I, too, want to work in OBGYN. I got sooooo inspired when I was having my daughter last year. Definitely the best moment of my life and I had some great nurses that made the experience so stress free. I would feel so privileged to wake up and work in that environment every day for the rest of my life!!

Labor and delivery has always interested me as well!
Hi! New poster/long time lurker, here. I was/am a current student at HCC, but still included my college transcripts. I walked in my application on May 1st, my last name starts with a "B," and everything except for college, nursing pre-reqs, and high school is listed as ASAP and not received. What does that even mean?! I have my A.A., so they said HS transcripts weren't needed, and my college career was at HCC as well as my nursing pre-reqs. Am I freaking out over nothing?
Welcome, I love your profile picture!
I don't think you have anything to worry about. I think once they process the application they will look closer into people's files and update them.
Also, I was told to keep an eye on your hawkmail (school's email) because if you are missing any documents, they will email you *only once* to inform you.
So glad I found this forum!
I submitted my application to the fall nursing program April 12th. Last name "J". No word yet but staying positive with a 3.381 prerequisite GPA.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a low floor this semester. Also wish I could go back in time and tell younger me to do better.
