Hillsborough Community College Fall 2017

Published

Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

My maiden name starts with an R, do they go down the list by maiden name?

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse anyone. They go by the name on the application, but I don't know if they go in alphabetical order, I remember seeing in either last cycle or perhaps Fall 2016 someone suggested they posted alphabetically. But I don't know. >_

Still waiting for my Nursing Prerequisites to be received I turned in my application April 12th, my name starts with E

Ohhhh I see what you mean. I'm an L then hahah.

My name starts with an E too. That would make sense, I'm still waiting for them to say received I hope my application didn't get lost :(

I always get so anxious!!

Turned my application in on May 4th, all received except for the pre-reqs which are still under ASAP Not Recieved and Under Review. Last name starts with an A. :D

So I'm looking at the estimated expenses for the nursing books, lab fees, etc. Kind of anxious about all that since I'm aiming to pay out of pocket with my savings and I didn't realize all these costs could add up so fast! :wideyed: Oh well, it'll be worth it in the end. If there's a will, there's a way! ;) Here's to hoping we all get that acceptance letter ladies! :cat:

Turned in mine may 3rd last name starts with an S

My pre-reqs still say ASAP (I took all at HCC).

Maiden name "R"

Married name "M"

I agree with Andrea, this has already been and will continue to be expensive... but definitely worth it to fulfill our dreams.

So here's a question for y'all:

What type of nurse do y'all want to be? :)

I love kids so I want to be in pediatrics:dummy1:, as of right now neonatology and oncology have my interest.

I also want to be a pediatric nurse :) I hope to continue my education at USF and become a pediatric nurse practitioner

I'm interested in something among the lines of women's health (OB/GYN). :) I also plan on continuing my education at USF and becoming a nurse practitioner as well.

NP is my ultimate goal just like you two. I know it is going to take a lot of dedication and hard work but it is possible.
