Hillsborough Community College Fall 2017

Published

Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

Any rumors on when exactly we will be knowing if we are accepted? Previous years the application deadline has always been in march. The nursing application states:

Progress of program application(s) 2 – 3 weeks after the program deadline:

 Log in to your HCC WebAdvisor account. Look in My Documents”.

 Documents will show a message of Not Received” or ASAP” status next to them or ‘UNDER REVIEW” below the listed document

until it has been reviewed by the Health Sciences Admissions team.

 Evaluation of applications might take 4 to 10 weeks after the program deadline. The evaluation period is subject to the

undetermined number of applications received by the program deadline.

On hawknet it is stated somewhere:

Program:A.S. - Applicant / A.D.N. Basic (AS.APPL.NURB)

Catalog:2017

Anticipated

Completion Date:06/02/17

I'm now thinking we may know if we are accepted or denied 2-3 weeks after the deadline / by June 2nd?! Super anxious and excited. I have been anticipating not knowing if accepted until sometime in July.

Where did you find this on Hawknet? I'm interested in looking it up. I dropped off my application last week and I'm wondering when it is going to show up under my documents, it's making me so anxious like maybe I forgot something. The waiting game is so hard and it has barely started.

I did talk to a lady who works in financial aid office while I was submitting some papers and she said that we will be finding out "very soon". I'm not sure how she would know but I'm hoping she's right that it's not a very long waiting game this year.

The amount of applicants are also making me very nervous about my grades. :(

Under academic planning click on 'progress toward degree reqs' then 'AS.APPL.NURB A.S. - Applicant / A.D.N. Basic' and submit, it states that towards the top of the page under your name and student number

Are you talking about active programs? Mine is set to AA Allied Health. I can select AS Nursing from the drop down menu, but it doesn't tell me the completion date.

I'm thinking maybe your profile has not updated yet, when I click on progress towards degree reqs it shows 'AS.APPL.NURB A.S. - Applicant / A.D.N. Basic

Mine was exactly the same as yours...about 2 week after I applied it started showing 2 options: AA Allied Health and A.S. - Applicant / A.D.N. Basic.

Woo! Deadline is done! Now the "real wait" begins!

Looming thought the list of GPAs and just remembered that they rank us by 4 digit GPA for example 3.566 and I remembered from the declination email . we're posting just 2 digits . idk just thought it was some good info lol

Oh and for spring 2017 the deadline was august 15 and we found out who got accepted the first week of October .

I mailed mine in two weeks ago and still nothing..kinda nervous but I'm sure they just got bombarded with applications and it's taking a little longer.
