Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

Congrats for your new house! :cat:

Thanks! So relieved that part is done, but now we have all that unpacking!

.... I know, right?! I am so relieved this will be my last move! our forever home will finally happen. (embrace the military retirement) :geek:

If you retake a course you got a B in and get an A which one does HCC count as their grade towards your pre-req GPA? Ask because most likely I am going to wind up with a B in my Microbio lecture class

Specializes in Psychiatric.

I don't think they will let you retake a class you have previously passed if I'm not mistaken? I have been told it's better to fail than get a D because they will only replace an F grade when you retake it. (Don't quote me on that) í ½í¸Š

This is true . you can only retake a class if you've gotten a F

I know i'm a bit late but i'll be applying with a 3.57

SO as long as I get an A in the class the second time that is what HCCs nursing program will count towards my Pre-req GPA? Just want to clarify before hand.

TP- I definitely believe so. Because your GPA would change if you retake the class. I think you would have to fail twice or something and they would deduct 0.2 from your GPA.

They will count the first attempt if it's a C or above. The A will count in overall GPA but not for prerequisite gpa.

Thank You, Nea archi, for the clarification. Completely disregard this post.

Thanks Nea, So hopefully I get an A lol.

ALso lets say I retake a class like Engish Comp 1. As long as I get an A the second time, is that the score that will count towards my pre-req GPA.

Thanks again for the Help Nea, I really do appreciate it.
