Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)
Sorry I have been so quiet the past few months! After the last cycle let down.. I am trying not to get too excited this time around! lol.
UCFAshley- Congrats on the closing of the house! I know how stressing and exciting that is all at once!!! Itll be perfect to be settled in and ready in your home once nursing school starts.
Douglas92- Im sorry about your husband being stationed in Germany! Since you aren't going with him... will the TDY be shorter there? I know Korea they give you less time if you arent with family but I am not familiar with Germany. I know itll be rough but at least once you start nursing school you will have a great support system and more than enough to keep you busy to make time fly!
I hope everyone is doing well!!
I did not take neither of those classes. But throughout the program i realized that I have a thing for memorizing medications so it's very easy for me to remember them. Its really odd but I happened to remember a very very old med and what it did, I heard about when I was 19 yrs old and my mom was taking it, I'm 43 now. How I remember them, not really sure but I do. However, some people in my class struggled with meds and did take the class.....On assessment, you will learn that in the program.
PRicanlady- did you take pharmacology or health assessement while in the program? Are they recommended?

I am the same way! lol (hypochondriac maybe?)
How's everybody doing?
If the first time you took English, you made a D or F, then yes, they will count the higher grade when its retaken. For example, I took English Comp... many moons ago, lol. Back in 2000 and made a C. I can not retake it for a better grade, I am just stuck with it. But... I had made a D in Algebra. So I took it last summer and made an A... so they counted the A for my pre-reqs GPA.Please remember... if you have taken ANY course 3 times (including a W) they will deduct .2 points from your overall GPA.
Thank you. As long as I can make up the class that is all I was worried about. Hopefully I will do well enough so I get an A. A B is not bad, however I would rather get an A.
There is an update on my "Progress towards degree". There is now the option of "AS.APPL.NURB A.S. - Applicant / A.D.N. Basic"
AND under "Documents" this was also added on mine:

I assume it says "Not Rec'd" because I am not done with this semester yet? I am taking College Algebra and Intro to Sociology.
How's everybody doing?
Doing quite alright over here. My husband took me to a nice fancy dinner last week and asked me to go to Germany with him. :/ I told him if I get accepted, I will have the winter break off and go see him for those 3(?) weeks and also summer off as well. With him and I both active duty (I am reserves now), we spent a lot of time apart so I think he doesn't want to spend more time alone and miss any of our daughter milestones. I think a good inbetween would be to apply to the Spring 2018. What do you guys think? Am I being a bit selfish?
