Hillsborough Community College Fall 2017

Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

Hey guys!

I don't know if y'all noticed but 2017 Fall Term class schedules are out. I hope it's reliable because as of right now these are the Nursing I schedules:

Dale Mabry mornings: 9-12 class Thursday/Friday. Clinical Tuesday/Wednesday

Dale Mabry afternoons: 1-4 class Thursday Friday. Clinical Tuesday/Wednesday

Southshore: 1-4pm Class Tuesday/Wednesday clinical Thursday/Friday

Plant City: 1-4pm Class Tuesday/Wednesday clinical Thursday/Friday

it's getting exciting... and nerve wrecking. :)

Yes, once a week except for the third semester where you will have regular clinicals and mental health clinicals.

Is that clinical Thur or Fri? Clinical is still once a week--right?

I can't get the link because I'm on an app and its acting all weird.

Anyway, you can go to go to the HCC homepage and on the top it says "search for class sections". Once you get to that page then fill out the following:

term: 17/fa

Subject: NUR

Press submit and its all there.

when you say the third semester has "regular clinicals" , how many clinical days does that mean?

Unfortunately I think it would be closer to July. Hopefully I am wrong! :D

1 regular clinical day and 1 mental health clinical day weekly, for the duration of mental health which is not the full semester.

There are two days of lecture class (one of those days having mental health lecture, so its a full day) , the clinicals or classes might be back to back. During my mental health clinical I was at the hospital til 930 or 10pm. Get home after 11pm. Then had to be at the hospital for regular clinical the next day at 630am. Other people that had another day or hospital didn't get the crummy schedule. But I had to make it happen.

i have a question for you @pricanlady

what was your deadline for applying and when did you find out?

if we have to wait till july that sucks. so from july to august we would have to have orientation, order scrubs, background test, and all our health requirements. well atleast im taking summer classes to help make the time go by.
