Mamallama01, I would definitely apply now because the deadline is coming up fast. With a 3.8 GPA, I am pretty certain you will get into HCC as long as you did all of the prereqs. If HCC is your first choice, you probably don't even have to apply to other schools. The TEAS score will be accepted at a 60 so there is no reason to submit a higher TEAS score to HCC. You should be good!

HCC is my second choice mainly because of location and my life style; I just bought a house in the SAME street as Pasco-Hernando State College!! it would be amazing to be able to drop off my children at their schools (also all at the same street)and drive to college. With HCC I will face the commute from Wesley Chapel to Dale Mabry everyday. (sigh):sorry:

Being honest..... both community colleges are my plan B. My Plan A was USF, but I didn't get in for the second sequence bachelors of nursing... so here I go again! "Never, never, never, never give up"!!! :roflmao:

Wow!!! That commute would be AMAZING!!!

Oh and I got your GPA as 3.667 (I used an app on my phone).

I use this online GPA calculator, and I think your GPA with B's in Anatomy II +L and College Algebra will be 3.67.

I might be on the same boat as you. I made a B in Anatomy I + Lab and I might make a B in College Algebra. This course is really beating me up! :blackeye:

I only got a B in eng and sociology and I have a 3.7 ..So I don't think so unless I'm wrong

I want to apply for USF too but I didn't take human fundamental nutrition 3 credits because the HCC don't let me take it. ( I took human fundamental nutrition 1 credit in the past, but I couldn't use it. I need 3 credits but HCC don't let me retake it. ) what should I do?? Any advice please???

Specializes in Psychiatric.

With a 3.66, hopefully you should be good as well! Pasco Hernando would be perfect. Good luck getting accepted. Maybe Plant City HCC would be a better commute when it comes to traffic? Just a thought. The traffic through Downtown Tampa is no joke!

I know... I lived there in 2010 (when my husband was stationed at MacDill) and remember the sacrifice of leaving the house at 6:30 to escape the traffic.

I just want to get it done! I am 40 years old, had been studying for the past 5 years of my life (while moving to 5 different places)...I am sincerely tired.

I applied at USF as a post-baccalaureate student, for the Nursing fast-track program they have (for whom has a previous bachelors) . So, I have ALL of those prereqs. My advice for you is to enroll in a different college and take it online! Enroll at Valencia College! Take as many classes you need as a "non-degree seeking student", then transfer for the USF when you are ready to apply! :)

It's because you got B for 6 credits. One of my B's is A&P (4 credits) - more weight down.

Thank you. I might do that too.
