Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program? I know it is really early, but I am just too excited. I want other people to share my excitement with!! :)

It is a hard class, but once you get it it will actually be fun. I suck at math and finished my MAC1105 with a B.

Nothing is worse than statistics! :roflmao:

Ugh does College Algebra get easier as the semester goes on? I have a bad feeling that it is going to mess up my GPA.

Have you guys applied yet?

When I applied, quite a bit of people made it in from the waiting list. I think the lowest gpa that I can remember was a 3.0.

Do you remember the GPA cut off when you applied ?

You're welcome. Yes, if I remember correctly, you knew during the first week. The division varies. It changed during the middle of our program. They used to take requests and then they switched it and now is pretty much assigned. I do know that they use LRMC and South Florida Baptist quite a bit for the Plant City campus. But other people have gone to Tampa Gen and St. Josephs I believe.

Hello pricanlady

Before I start asking questions I just wanted to say thanks for being so helpful and answering our questions. :-)

Do you recall how clinical were divided up? I believe I read that the sites are assigned the first week of the program.

I am stalking ever forum related to HCC  and someone said the last GPA cut off was 3.52 (spring term).

Mamallama,

The TEAS IV wasn't bad. I thought the content was similar to the practice tests, so I would take advantage of those.

Books! Do you have the option to do hardcover vs ebooks? I heard labs are kinda basically the responsibility of the student. Like you schedule it on your own. Are there instructors that help with lab?

Yes I know that . I got denied for last spring so I obviously know . lol

Yes, you will have the option of getting the hard copy books with or without ebooks. Some people just buy used books and get the codes also.

Different semesters have different lab hour requirements and yes, there are lab personnel that will help you get checked off and practice your skills. Tip. Don't wait to get lab hours done til the end, nobody needs that kind of stress. But yes, it is at your leisure.

I have a good GPA (for the required pre requisites), but I am afraid of the TEAS score.

Does it matters with them like it does for Pasco-Hernando?

I hope we can get a chance for this coming term.
