Hillsborough Community College-Fall 2014

Hello everyone,

So my dream since I can remember has been to become a nurse; however, it seems as if it will never happen. I recently finished my pre-requisite courses to apply to the fall semester of the HCC nursing program. While I did not get any C's I made mostly B's :blink:earning A's in two classes and one lab. I realize this is not good enough since it puts my GPA at around a 3.38. Since I did not fail any of my classes, I don't believe I will be able to retake them. Is there any possible way to retake them? Or any way to increase my GPA since they mainly look at the pre-requisite courses? If not, what other options do I have for becoming a nurse? If anyone is out there who could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated. I will submit my application regardless but I don't have any high hopes of getting accepted, if there is anyway to increase my chances I would be so grateful to find out!

Has anyone still NOT had their "My Documents" under Web Advisor updated? Mine still has not been updated and I'm starting to freak out wondering why! I had talked to someone in their office like a month and a half ago and said they got everything but nothing is showing as received except for my transcripts; which has been there since beginning of January! AHHHHHHH!

Your My Documents section won't update until about June... I was a Spring 2013 applicant.

Wait this is the Fall 2014 thread not the Spring 2015 thread like I thought it was. Nevermind! lol.

My GPA is a 3.71 so I am sure that I will get accepted. Thanks for suggesting that book I will definitely go ahead and purchase it and read it over the summer. I appreciate you taking the time to give me some tips. Good Luck in your journey to become a nurse. :)

So has anyone received an acceptance letter? I am taking Chemistry this semester and in Thursday's class my professor said that acceptance letters had already been mailed and that they should be received this weekend. I haven't received anything as of yet. The waiting is driving me crazy. :roflmao:

Yay!! My documents have been updated finally! I am hoping to be accepted, and hoping to get PC Mornings. Please, please, please let the letter come. I can't take it anymore! Good Luck everyone!

sana214, is that for the nursing program specifically or another health science program? Tommorow will be 10 weeks from the aplication deadline, and I think they said to allow 11-15 weeks for letters.

Hello everyone; I am so exited to join this group. It's been awhile since high school, but here I am hoping be accepted for Fall 2014. I am also a transfer student from SPC. Crossing fingers everything to go smoothly and we all get accepted into the program.

Documents updated today!! So excited, at least that makes it a little closer to acceptance. Do you think we will find out in April?? I'm hoping for DM mornings.
