Hello everyone,
So my dream since I can remember has been to become a nurse; however, it seems as if it will never happen. I recently finished my pre-requisite courses to apply to the fall semester of the HCC nursing program. While I did not get any C's I made mostly B's :blink:earning A's in two classes and one lab. I realize this is not good enough since it puts my GPA at around a 3.38. Since I did not fail any of my classes, I don't believe I will be able to retake them. Is there any possible way to retake them? Or any way to increase my GPA since they mainly look at the pre-requisite courses? If not, what other options do I have for becoming a nurse? If anyone is out there who could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated. I will submit my application regardless but I don't have any high hopes of getting accepted, if there is anyway to increase my chances I would be so grateful to find out!
Well since none of us got any letters...I think that those letters that went out may have been for the LPN transtion applicants. Their deadline was the same as ours but they start in the summer...so I imagine that they would need to get there letters first so the school can get them squared away with orientation and all that stuff...hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer...
Hello all, I know the wait is driving you guys nuts. If it helps i can tell you that our letters arrived on a Saturday exactly 17 weeks from the deadline date. Im pretty sure the last couple entry classes also all got them on a Saturday. I seams like it was just yesterday that i was in your shoes waiting for my acceptance letter and and now my class is approaching the end of our NP1 session. Its been quite a challenge for us all and we are very much looking forward to summer break.....:)

17 weeks from deadline is like May 14th, that is sooooo far away!
17 weeks?! Ummm thats really far away...::sigh::...
Yes; I know, thats a long wait. Our application deadline for the Spring 2014 class was June 1st 2013 and we recieved the acceptence notices on Saturday Sept 28th 2013 so its more like 16 weeks. I know the anticipation is killing everyone but try and hang in there it will soon be over.
An administrator told me that they are taking 130 new students. She said they will be divided into 5 groups of 26 per campus/time. I pray I am one of the 26 at DM days.Does anybody know how many people applied this semester and what percentage of entrants normally graduate?
I don't know how may ppl applied or the stattistics of who gradautes...that would be interesting to know..
I had DM days as my first choice too...I really hope I get it...
