Anybody applying ...? =)
Hey Guys!
Congrats to all of you who made it in. Whoo Hoo! Life must be very exciting right now for you. I applied to Spring 2013, so I hope to see you all around next year. Right now I am am waiting for something to show under webadvisor. Anything to show really. They cashed my check and sent me my stamped envelope back, so nothing to do but wait and plan. I am sure you all remember that feeling well!
I am trying to plan my schedule so I can get proper daycare for my toddler. When you get your schedule and campus assignment is that the same for the whole program or does it change? For example, if your campus and time starts on Thursday and Friday at DM, does that mean all your classes are Thursday and Friday at DM for both years? Also I would like to know where the clinicals are for each campus. Thanks to any who answer. It will help me out lots.
This is to all of us that are waiting to hear from Brandon Hospital. I spoke with Patrick at Human Resources today. He said they are waiting today to hear from WIA and then the calls will start going out. I hope this gets settled soon. I can't register for any classes and my financial aid is all messed up. I will be glad when all of this is straightened out.
Oh and clinicals generally are (if im wrong, other folks can confirm or deny) PC is either South Florida Baptist or Brandon, SS is South Bay and Brandon, and DM is ST Joes, Brandon and I think TGH.
Thanks Brandeekins!
That is what I gathered reading through the last few boards. I was thrown off by a friend who just went through orientation with you all. She said she got DM afternoons and her clinical will be at Florida Hospital. She told me she does clinicals at the same hospital the whole time, and her class days will always be Thursday and Friday with clinical on Tuesday or Wednesday. she thouoght TGH or St Joes was going with Plant City or Southshore. I was trying to match that information to what some of you found out so I can verify if it is true or not.
Day/time and clinical will stay the same for a semester, but will change each semester. For instance, at SS it will be South Bay for np1, Brandon for 2&3, and one of the 2 for np4. In that case it's because Southbay doesn't have Peds or babies at all. It depends on where they can get a group for specific areas of training for that particular semester.
FYI for anyone looking to get Titers. I just found an online site where you order the titer and then go in for the blood draw at a local clinic. They then give you the test results via PDF in 3 days. The best part is, they are CHEAP! The Varicella titer ended up being $39. The website is https://gads.mdlabtests.com/ If you choose to use this, use the coupon code july for 20% off. :)
