Hillsborough Community College Fall 2012

I just checked the mail a few minutes ago and well, I'm so stinkin' excited to say that I was accepted for the fall! Good luck to everyone else that's patiently waiting. It's all worth it!!! :)

Nothing has changed in my hawk net and I was accepted from the beginning. Also, the way the alternates work is that they always keep a few seats for appeals in case they made mistakes. Once appeals are done they have a better idea where the real cutoff gpa is and offer to the higher gpa alternates. After that, anyone still an alternate but lower gpa will get in one by one as people decline their seats or don't pass drug/background checks.So even if you are an alt but didn't get anything first round, there is still a chance for a seat as people give theirs up. Don't give up hope... Especially if your gpa is close to k's.

I'm so excited. I've been trying to do my homework for ENC1102 all day. I've given up. I'm far too excited to focus! South Shore is my first choice. I'm praying and keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that I can get in there!

Congrats K.2012! trust me i know how you feel, i still get like that at times even though i got my acceptance last month. You deserve it and hope to see you at orientation!

P.S just to be sure (because i saw a post that someone got their assigned campus) did they send the assigned campuses yet?

Thanks!!! I'm stoked! I'm hand delivering my acceptance of the seat to the Dale Mabry campus tomorrow and then heading to Ybor for my fingerprinting, lol.

We should come up with some way of meeting up at orientation so we can put faces with names. Maybe meeting out front at a certain time before orientation starts??

My letter didn't say anything about a campus, but it did say that they would be sent out before orientation.

Hi, just a question, Did anyone apply for nursing with MGF 1106 as their math? I completed most of my prereqs back in 2010 and due to unusual circumstances I had to leave the state, now I'm back I see that they changed the math requirement. My catalogue year also shows 2010. I am so bummed, do you think they will go according to my catalog year and accept my Math for liberal arts? Or do I have to do yet another math?

All other prereqs are complete.
