  1. Thanks for sharing...your scores were great!! Very well deserved! Thank you, I won't give up.
  2. I remember your 7 denials, and you just kept chugging and hoping for the best! Than you for the awesome encouragement, I am going to remember you when I finally make it. If this truly doesn't work, then I will go on and spend the big $$ in a private school, I can't give up too much time playing the waiting game since I am doing the single mom thing. Will keep you updated after I speak with them tomorrow.
  3. kelseychu do you mind sharing your teas and gpa?
  4. i was wallowing in my misery so much so that i didn't even see that you guys made it in. i am so happy for you kelseychu and samiam856--i knew you were in for sure.. i will call tomorrow. does anyone see their gpa on gulfline? i was told that fgcu does not calculate gpa and that the school of nursing does it's own calculations. i don't even know how that makes sense.
  5. OMG I just got my letter, I wasn't accepted because I didn't meet the GPA requirement of 3.0. My overall GPA is higher than 3.2 and my prereq is even higher. I don't even know where they are getting this from. It took so much time and energy to get everything lined up for admission into the school I don't even know how to fight this. I feel deflated...why can't I see my GPA on gulfline anyway?
  6. awww thanks, appreciate it! Again, GREAT job this is no easy feat!!
  7. I saw in another thread that you got into UNF!!! congratulations!! I am still waiting impatiently for FGCU's letter in the mail.
  8. Hi!! I too have been applying at area hospitals, I've completed EKG, Phlebotomy and CNA (though I haven't sat the CNA exam as yet). I am gonna go to their job fair and was wondering what to expect? I plan on going in an hour early because I heard there are usually alot of people, I have never been to a job fair before. Do they do on-the-spot hiring? Any pointers at all? Thank you and congratulations starting nursing school AND bagging a new job! P.s what school did you get into?
  9. I agree on the private tuition. I hope you get in then! LUCK!!!!!!
  10. That's wonderful!!! I know one acceptance out of five rejections must feel really, really good. Where did you get accepted, and what were the requirements? p.s You're right I should not think like that I am just afraid of putting my hopes up just so that they crash. Thank you.
  11. hi samiam856 . you're probably definitely in. i am 98% sure i won't. good luck. july can't get here fast enough!
  12. I know its unnecessarily hard now, but don't give up.
  13. I've put in my application, just curious, how did you do on the TEAS exam, did you complete all prereqs and what's your cumulative GPA? for me 75 TEAS/missing Nutrition and Human Development/GPA 3.28. I know it doesn't look good for me right now. If this doesn't work, I will try the LPN program at Irwin Tech or get a student loan and attend Galen or Keiser. So depressed.
  14. oh then I can't apply for Spring admission. This really bites. Thanks for your input guys.
  15. All other prereqs are complete.
