Hello all HCC Fall 2011 hopefuls! I have been following the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 threads and thought maybe it was time to start Fall 2011 now that the application process has started.
I just turned my application in this past week and received my confirmation notice in the mail. Anyone else out there that has turned in their application?
What are your plans over the next 8 months to prepare for the first semester (provided we get in)?
I just received an email response from HCC Health Sciences Dept. They said that the letter, which has my name printed on it and the new orientation dates, etc., has the correct campus assignment. So I'm in Dale Mabry! :) The confirmation form that I'm supposed to sign and return has an error on it (Southshore instead of Dale Mabry). So they told me to send in the confirmation form accepting my seat, but I can scratch out "Southshore" and write in "Dale Mabry," which is the correct campus assignment as stated on my letter.
They also said that I do not need to send an additional $35, since I already sent my payment in March.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I officially COMPLETELY regret my decision to attend HCC's nursing program!!!!!!! After initially not receiving an acceptance letter, driving to Dale Mabry and picking it up, hand delivering it along with the drug testing fee to the admissions window at Dale Mabry 5 minutes later and receiving an email from MG that it was received, I was just by MF that they never received my original conformation letter!!!! However, I have emails to prove AND they sure cashed my check!!!!! These people have NO clue what is going on!!!!!!! Why did I choose HCC???????????
Omg! They're still going to let attend, right?? They would HAVE to. I'm sorry for the stress. I would be infuriated too.... Especially with what my boyfriend decided to do last Thursday.

I'm not sure, she says they have to do some research because my guess would be that they have already given my seat to an alternate, not sure though. It seems like they would have to but knowing my luck, I wouldn't count on it!!!!! This is ridiculous!!!

That totally made up my mind for me. I was contemplating mailing my confirmation letter but if they misplaced your hand delivered one, I definitely won't be taking the chance of mailing it!
Disorganized is an understatement, in my case, I never received the acceptance letter.......drove to DM campus to get it, wrong orientation dates. Everyone has seemingly got a form requesting you to repay the $35 fee that we have ALREADY paid, some have gotten letters with two different schools listed, others letters don't specify day or nights (which they told me if there is not specification of nights weekends then it's automatically days, but I guess we were supposed to know that?!?) I didn't get a letter because, though they cashed my check and emailed stating my letter was received, they are now saying they never got it, oh and I never got the email indicating the correct orientation dates so I have no clue when they actually are if I'm able to get this other messed straightened out!!!! This is a very discouraging situation!!!

Good idea, I sure wouldn't mail it, if I ever get this sorted out, I am definitely hand delivering mine, I wanted to do it certified mail but you can't since it goes to a po box!! Grrrr.......Also, I would get the name of the person who you hand deliver it to and document the date and time, I also emailed once I got home to confirm that it had made it to the nursing dept which MG replied that it had....I hope that email along with my canceled check saves me!!
Great, now I'm stressed. I mailed mine in last Friday, along with yet another self addressed and stamped envelope. If I don't receive the envelope back by Thursday, I'm going to start calling...
