hello! i just joined this lovely and informative site after lurking for a few weeks. i'm planning to apply for the program after this fall semester. (need to finish a&pII and college algebra).

edit: can someone walk me through the application process? i know it's pretty easy, but i like knowing 100%! i'm not sure if an adviser would help me much. i know you need high school transcripts, an hcc application and a nursing application. then you just gather all the papers (including money?) in like a.... manila envelope and mail away? or can you electronically send your high school transcripts to them? thank you.
I am awaiting my letter for Spring 2011 for Dale mabry nursing program. i am so nervous. Did anyone receive an acceptance letter and if so, what was your GPA?
Hi! I was just wondering where all of you got your scrub tops. I want something cuter than the plain ones, but I know they have to be "Port Wine" in color and I can't seem to find any online.
I posted on the other thread about this, but want to be sure you get the message. The Landau top is perfect in color....even though it says "wine" and not "port wine". That is the exact top that I chose, and I love it. Take care!

I would also get an NCLEX Review book and begin to familiarize yourself with NCLEX style questions. All of our tests are in the NCLEX format...and it takes some getting used to!

I really appreciate all your help, and I'll make sure to "pay it forward" to others next application period!!! One more question...does it have to be that 7th edition Potter & Perry book....the 6th is much cheaper (however, I don't want to waste money on an older edition if I have to have the new one).
The 6th edition is missing a bunch of chapters that our addition (7th) has. I would spend the extra and remember it will take you through the whole program.
I've never compared the editions side by side, so I don't know. There ARE people in our class that are using older editions...and our instructor said that it was fine. It is just a personal decision. Good luck and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask!
I would not use the older edition for Perry and Potter. But I used the older edition for Drug Calculations. It is almost identical and I bought the book only for a dollar.
