Hills CC FL, Spring 2017 Nursing Students

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I've made a new thread for those accepted, and attending, any of the Hillsborough Community College Spring nursing programs for 2017.

Welcome, and congrats!!

I also included a stamped postcard in my packet...even though I turned it in on campus.

I'm gonna just go talk to them Monday and see if everything is processed ok.

No storm and school is closed today so I have to go to both Ybor and Dale Mabry Monday to pay for the drug test and fingerprints. It's so unfortunate.

I got my postcard today so they've look at my forms... I'm just worried that I forgot something

I completed everything fingerprints at Ybor and background and acceptance at Dale Mabry with payments I feel so relieved!

I wonder since the deadline is gone how many alternate students ended up getting in. I am super excited for November 14th and can't wait for nursing school has anyone done any other requirments besides fingerprints and the acceptance stuff?

I have had my physical and TB test. I need a vaccine and varicella titers (scheduled for later this week) done.

How much are you paying for your varicella titee everyone keeps saying it's hundreds of dollars? I just need the Varicella shot, flue shot, physical and TB X-ray that's all. Oh and the cor of course but I'm going to wait till the last moment for that so it lasts for the whole two years.

How long did it take you guys to do the finger prints?

I did fingerprinting today, it took me longer to find a parking spot than to get the prints done.

I have to get the TB prick done and flu all my other stuff was good.

Great thank you! I need to do it on my lunch hour since it's only from 9-3

I am currently a student at USF, and I can get the varicella titer for $22.

The TB x-ray is an or thing The TB (PPD) test or the chest x-ray. You don't need both. I don't currently have health insurance, so I went to Tampa Family Health Clinic for the physical and the TB test. Based on my families income, I only had to pay $15.00. I didn't get the flu shot though. It is optional, and I might just skip it because they didn't give it to me at the appt I had.

I talked to the health department about the varicella vaccine. They charge $116 a shot and you need two.

I know that's the problem it costs and I'm only getting the x ray for the TB test because it lasts 5 years which to come out cheaper doing. I am getting the flu shot because I talk to the lady over clinicals and she said it will be hard to place you for clinicals if you decline.
