Please don't give up!
You graduated from nursing school. That is a BIG accomplishment.
Now you need to learn how to take this difficult test.
Some of the finest nurses I work with didn't pass the first time. One passed on the forth try.
I would feel confident having them care for me.
Welcome to allnurses.com!
I am looking forward to reading your post when you pass.
Stush, Dont give up! I too have 5 kids and did not pass the 1st time. Some of us are just not as good of test takers as others but are awesome on the floor! Hang in there, and try a new study plan. Set time for yourself each day to study. Try and break it up into small quality study sessions instead of one long one.
I just found out I failed the NCLEX and I am so-ooo upset. Can someone help me. I have 5 kids depending on me. Let alone how bad I feel. I feel like I should give up. Thanks for listening,
Need lots of help
I am truly sorry to hear that you didn't make it the first time around. It is devastating because the whole school experience was focused around this exam. But, take a few days or weeks to regroup and get to it again. Look at where you feel you made mistakes before...it can be anything...may it be that you were very nervous about taking the exam, some material that was not covered, or how to improve test taking skills. Kaplan sells a book on NCLEX strategies of success, one for LPN and one for RN. It gave nice ways on how to rule out when you really don't know the answer and that was what I used to figure out the answer they wanted to hear. (((Hugs to you)))
Do not give up!!!! I am currently in school right now and I am almost done..I have to write the LPN exam in vancouver in SEPT 07, there is so much stress and so much to study!!!!!! Never give up and keep trying:nono: . I had a problem in school and I was working at the same time and there were a few girls in our class that were cheating throughout the entire program...we notified the director of the school and they simply ignored it.....I just wish god grants those who really try hard.
dont loose hope and stand up....even if it takes so many times of doing so.
i too experinced the feeling of loosing ones selfworth but i was able to recuperate...i too have children and they really are very dependent on me...maybe they are the ones more important at this time than making good at nclex...maybe they are our greatest achievement at the moment...and maybe our next time would be a different one...goodluck! godbless
Don't even think of giving up!!!!! I'm studing now to take the nclex for the third time. I do know how you feel, the feeling of hopelessness is no good feeling. The night I found out I did'nt pass the nclex I found all nurses and everyone here has been so supportive and it does help to talk about it. So hang in there and keep your head up . This feeling of giving up will soon pass. Don't loose sight of why you went to nursing school you have it in you to fight and win.
I don't know how you studied the first time but why not try a new strategy so you can increase your confidence. I hear people saying great things about Suzanne's plan (see sticky section of this thread). I use the book she recommends in school and have found it to be a great help even during the program.
Good luck to you!
