HFCC Winter 2017

Published

Hey everyone. I just applied to the HFCC program for Winter 2017 and thought I would start a thread to see if anyone else will be applying too. I am pretty nervous and would like to get some insight as to how many points you had when you got accepted.

Thanks!

What do u guys think about all the expenses they hit us with yesterday 😂 I thought it would stop at the 740 dollar books. Then it started rolling in one after another😩

So yeah.. student loans.. can't wait..;)

Hi Mervin and everybody else! I also applied, got accepted and am awaiting the semester to begin. The 745 for the books was ridiculous. Did you guys see the $600 charge hit your accounts yet?

I didn't check but I signed up for a payment plan. What class schedule did you pick?

I picked section 1. You?

I picked section 2 if anyone else is in that one!

I'm in section 1

Also, they emailed us and the $600 charge is for the HESI testing fees

Guys was i zoned out or something at the orientation? I seriously remember nothing about them mentioning the 600 dollar fee for the hesi. I just remember them talking about the $750 for books and all the other small expenses. Wow theyre really asking for a lot😳

hello, congratulations to all who got accepted into hfcc nursing program !!!!! I will be attending hfcc in winter of 2017. My goal is to complete the required prerequisites and apply to the nursing program, so I can start the nursing program in winter 2018. I do have a couple of questions and hope that someone can give me answers to them. Question 1: how soon should I start studying for the NAT test ? Question 2: If I plan on applying to the nursing program in June for the winter semester how soon should I be receiving my immunizations, TB test, titers etc.? Question 3: Should I take a cna class prior to admissions for a better chance of acceptance or will they take my expired cna certificate (it just expired this year)? Question 4: If I take my last set of prereqs in the spring semester will they count those classes as completed seeing how the deadline is June 30th for winter admission and spring semester ends on June 26? I need help, I'm so anxious to get the ball rolling lol !

Yay! Mervin, wanna study group??

Yes! I Think the study group will be a good idea! :)

also, Joslynmh, I believe there are information meetings for the nursing program that go over everything. Titers and immunizations we didn't had to get done until we were accepted and after orientation. If you think that taking the CNA test will help then I would ask the admissions person if it makes a difference for the amount of points. It depends on how many other points you have along with other criteria for admissions like GPA etc. I think I was about 55 points when I was accepted.
