I didn't attend the in service because it was my day off and I never go back to work on my days off. So, I told them I would catch up and read whatever paper you're passing around. So, they said I should not have missed this great in service about nurses notes. They searched the net and found a great article they downloaded from an Australian site. So, she handed me the PDF. I look down the paper and start reading...wait a minute...this looks awfully familiar. Low and behold that was the very article I've written on nurses notes. I've contacted the Australian site asking them to at least give me credit before ripping it off and posting on their site, but there was no reply.

Wow! That's pretty bold of that site! And possibly illegal.

possibly illegal.
I'm not so sure of that, Nunya.
If something's posted on the web without being copyrighted, it's pretty much up for grabs.
If the company made money off of the article, they could be sued. It'd be a long, long process that wouldn't be worth the time and expenses.
Several times, I've found my art being used by somebody online, but I'm okay with that. My art is a Zen sort of thing.
LDT getting credit would be really cool, though.
Really cool that you found your article and got some good feedback on it LDT!

Everyone copies everything from everyone. I also sell jewelry at Etsy and one day I found a random website with an identical copy of one of my best selling rings. They ripped my writings, my photos and even my reviews. There is no way to control these kinds of things...the Internet is the wild wild west...

Well, at least you can argue that you didn't miss a thing by not going into work on your day off! Sorry your work was pirated, though, that stinks.

I'm curious. Were they actually selling a copy of your ring or was it a scam?

Good question. They might not send anything at all or just send a poor replica who knows...
