Hesi preparation kit

Published

I'm trying to decide if I should purchase the Hesi test preparation kit. Its expensive but my program just announced that we must pass the Hesi in order to graduate. Another question...I am a student at a community college and this pass semester the college decided to change our our critical care class and because of the changes 50% of the class failed. We had a final test, new material to learn and a final exam in less than 24hrs. Has anyone else dealt with a class schedule like this? I think it crazy! I have to retake the class and now I'm worried I won't pass my final class.

I took the exit Hesi and passed the first time that I took it. In my opinion, the Hesi book is too in depth to cover everything. You should buy the Saunders NCLEX 4th edition. It covers everything, has tons of questions to study from, the cd from the 4th edition has a pretest and you can find out your weak areas and focus on those. That will probably work the best for you.

Sorry about your class, that stinks. There really is no point worrying or stressing over it. Just study, study, relax, and do your best. It's just one more hoop that you have to jump through to graduate nursing school. I graduate in less than 2 weeks, still have a big project due. Just think, there wouldn't be any nurses is nursing school was impossible. Good luck.

I was in a similar situation.....my school announced last fall that we had to pass the hesi with a 850 to graduate...and the class before us did not...

personally...I 2nd the saunders book/cd package...I used the 3rd edition..and did 800 questions in the book, and 1400 questions in 100 question exams...and I felt that it helped me really learn the concepts and know what the heck they wanted on the hesi.....I also studied with a good friend.....

My score?...922....so I passed, and I don't care how close it was, cause passing is passing.

GL to you!

I know exactly how you feel. I currently have a 78 passing is 75 we still have a test and then a week later the final. I am sooooo afraid of not passing I do not want to even think about the exit hesi. Our school will not endorse us for the NCLEX unless we get a 800 on the hesi we have 2 tries. Then we have to do remediation before they endorse us. We also have to go thru the Drexel review course that costs 300. I just hope I can get there I already paid my 300 but I lose that money if I fail school.

Good luck

lucky guys, i have exam on friday. we need either 950 or 87% to pass
