okay, I'm taking the HESI tomorrow.. how bad is it? I then have to take the Compass next week. I've been out of math classes for so long.. any input would be great. I know my basic algebra but higher stuff is probably buried so deep in my brain that it won't even be recongnizable for me.
Anyone know how well you have to do on it for Everest?
Also, isn't the HESI for people who already have some nursing school under their belt? I'm confused on why it is an entrance test :stone

I am a little confused too. On the requirements for the entrance to the CAC nursing program it says complete HESI then is says "Only after completion of BIO 201, BIO 202, ENG 101 & MAT 122" Which the 2 BIO classes are pre-reqs, the ENG class is on the 1st semester schedule of NS and the MAT class is year 2, 1st semester of NS.
:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

It's the HESI entrance test. I've heard it's comparable to the NET.

How was the HESI if you don't mind me asking.

I took the NET test for my entrance exam. It was reading comprehension and basic math skills. Not too hard - just nerve wracking because it was timed and you had to score high enough in order to get into NS.
I took the HESI-PN and the HESI-RN exams at the end of blocks 2 and 4 respectively. They were not difficult, per se. They covered stuff you should have learned by that point. If you do very poorly on them, it's a pretty good indicator you need to go back and do some serious studying. HTH.
