I have the Hesi CD there is only 4 exams and i took them all and re took the same questions. I will have to say that the SAUNDERS nclex-pn Edition 3 has over 3,000 questions and that seemed harder.I am going to take my HESI test on Aug 15th 09 i am nervous cause i went to a school that opened the first time and we all felt like GINNI PIGS. The School originally started in Palo Alto, Ca for 7 years then opened a LVN program in Modesto, after 11 months the school fired our teacher who lied on her App stating she was an RN when really she just got her LVN license. Most of the students failed MED SURGE part of the school year and had to re-due that module

I am nervous because after they fired the teacher they made us take a Med Surge HESI test only and many scored under a 600. A lot scored from a 300-550 i scored a 611. Its nerve recking because since we have gotten out 6-17-09 i have been studying my Hesi CD and my Sauders CD questions, and my Mosby's flash Cards with Rationals.

Does anyone have advise about the HESI test is it True its harder than the N-Clex for the state?

honey go buy the evolve hesi book get the rn one it touches more on leadership hesi loves to question leadership stuff

I really don't know what to do because now my life is hanging in the balance. does anyone have any suggestions. I have heard a rumor that the 3rd time is not that hard. PLEASE HELP ME!

Wow... So I took my HESI today... and...........

I PASSED !!!!

The first try I made an 808 and this time I made a 1021. I had V-2 of the test..... The first time I took hesi I ready the HESI book from cover to cover.... that didn't work for me.. This time I did the Hurst review online.. and let me tell you I think it did WONDERS for my hesi score... and I also did 100 Nclex questions 5X a week for 6 weeks...

another factor that helped me pass this time is I TOOK MY TIME..... I flew through it the first time.. This time I pulled my computer screen closer to me.. and took a sheet of paper and covered up the question.. read one line at a time... I have a hard time focusing on computer tests so this helped to bring the focus in!!! GOod luck everyone!!!

My class had 23 students. The HESI was our exit exam. I studied the NCLEX-PN book 2 hrs each day for several weeks before the exam. Was top in the class on the test. @52, though a good reader, I benefit from daily study weeks ahead of a major test. This works well for me. Score 988.:twocents::yeah::D:specs:

@ ekuRNstudent09...was the Hurst review online expensive?

It was $300... totally worth it!!! I used my notes from it to study for my final today as well...

Like I said before do it fairly close to when you take your test... I started working on it about a month or so before HESI.. It has over 20 hours of lectures so give yourself time to get through them all!!!

I need to take the HESI for admissions. What book did you use to prepare for it, where did you get it and how long should I give myself to prepare for it?

Hopefully there are practice exams that are included.

Thank you

Do a search on this site or on the internet. The publishers of the test have produced a review book. BTW, it is no longer called the HESI test. A couple of posts in the past couple of days, can give you the correct info, if you take the time to look for them in this forum. Good luck.

I passed HESI, and still believe that is just a useless filter to get good students out of the program. Yes, I believe that some inept students stay out, but I also witnessed how students smatter than I , did not pass it on the second try. How can a student be judged by her performance on one exam created by a company that does not even know what you were instructed on? Why the whole program goes to the trash if you do not pass it on the third try? Should not instructors be found accountable if 50% of the class did not pass also? How can we be good advocators for the patients, if the very institutions that train us are not setting the example to advocated for the students they educate??
