Hi Stayfocus,

In my opinion it was not too easy or too hard. But I do recommend that you have taken A&P 1 and A&P2 already and if it has been a while since you have taken these classes, like me, review your textbook. Have you taken your HESI yet?

No, I am taking it on July 24th and I am so nervous..... But I have been studying like crazy do some of the question on the exam come from the study guide..... in the A and P section.... I just finish up a and p 2 today I made an A!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!

StayFocus,

First congrats on your A! I think I saw like 3 questions from the guide on the test. You will do well just relax and you will do fine. So where are you applying for nursing school?

UT of course and PV, and maybe Texas Women, and UTMB in Galveston but they require the TEAS! So whoever accept me that is where I am going... LOL!!! Hopefully UT that is my first choice.

Readyeddie,

Thanks for the congrats on my A!!!

The electronic HESI test -- I think the results were there in 7-10 days at most.

The "private" one thake on that college's server: I think it took 2-3 weeks. I had the paper printout after the test, but it was weeks before I got an email from Evolve.

One other thing about scores and the HESI: From what I recall reading, the school can customize those tests, and may put questions on there that don't count in your actual % scores which is the official score. But, like court testimony that is stricken from the record, the jury has still seen and read it. I was told that it's like the achievement tests that the schools give: There's an official set of questions that test the student's proficiency against the standard or the minimum for passing. But there are other questions on there that are specifically there to show what the student is capable of, or how far beyond the average he or she is.

So they finally fixed my HESI scores so all the portions show up on the score sheet. I got a 93% for reading comprehension, but in the subdivided scores, I got a 57% for Conclusions. :-/ That looks pretty bad. Here is the breakdown of my reading comp score:

(1)Reading Comprehension - 93.48%

(2)Meaning-Word Use - 100.00%

(3) Conclusions - 57.14%

(4) Implications - 100.00%

(5) Understanding - 100.00%

That's great. I'm so jealous. lol

Serene Peach,
