Hi, I am applying for UT health science center and was wondering what people have scored on their Hesi A2 exam..?, so I can see what the approximate average score is....
Mine was
1) Reading Comprehension: 86.96
2) Meaning-Word Use: 100
3) Conclusions: 100
4) Implications: 91.67
5) Understanding: 75
6) Grammar: 94
7) Vocabulary & General Knowledge: 90
English Language composite Score: 90.32
8) Biology: 84
9) Chemistry: 100
10) Anatomy & Physiology: 96
Science Composite Score: 93.33
11) Math: 100
Cumulative Score: 92.99
Critical Thinking Score: 820
I took all? of them:reading comprehension
grammar
vocab
biology
chem
a&P
math
I studied from the evole study guide book - it was great for the math, reading, grammar and vocab sections. for the rest, it gave a broad overview, which was good, but I think I did well on the science sections because of my background in biology.
There were also things on the test that I felt they pulled out of the sky - anyone else agree?
for the most part I found it pretty basic. Does anyone know if 93.66% will do?
SARJAN!!!
CONGRATSSSSSSSS..yay..yes that is a good score.. did u see those vocabulary words repeated on the test? Also...was there analogy on the test? tell us more about the test..help us out

I am sure your scores are beyond average and fairly competitive!! I do agree that some of the questions were very random.. but my vocab section was extremely hard so that is what I am in need of retesting... when i took the exam it only had 5 words from the study guide. how bout yours?
Hey Yall,
I really dont remember much from vocabulary, I took that section first. I will say that I feel like they pulled ANY vocab from anywhere in the study guide. So, just because you know the vocabulary section well, you should also know all the other terms as well - for example, terms you saw in the biology section might show up in vocabulary.
For the math section, I think there were like 4 or so fill in the blank questions. Know roman numerals (ones you probably already know) and military time, and fractions.
Grammar - study the book. Mostly everything that I remember, I remember seeing in the book.
chemistry - felt like it came from the book as well - stoichiometry, subatomic particles, etc.
Biology - some of these questions were random! (I scored an 88 on this part, which was my lowest score - weird because I am a biology major) I think I messed up here because I studied in too much detail. My suggestion would be to have a broad overview. One thing you may need to look into is DNA replication.
A & P - I dont remember exactly, but I thought it was fairly simple.
Hope this helps!!
Here are a few things I didn't know until I took the test -
You can pick and choose which sections you want to take first. After you finish each section, you get your score right then - scary I know. But this could be a good thing... if you don't get as well of a score as you had hoped on the section you just finished.. for the next one - pick a section you feel confident in so you can reboot and get back to knocking this test down
NAM - the only other things I used to study were quizes on quizlet.com - helped alot with vocab
Silver - I honestly don't remember. I do remember a question on its/it's and a couple questions on "would have known" or "had known"?
Sorry, I took the test Monday morning then went straight to work where I had to read a lot, so it kind of all faded away.
