Hi! I'm wondering for all of those who have taken the HESI A2 Admissions Exam, what did you use to prepare for the Anatomy / Physiology portion?
The ADN program I am applying to requires that we complete the Math, Reading, and A&P sections of the exam. Although I have read much on the AllNurses boards about the Evolve HESI book (ISBN 1416056351) being a good resource for the Math and Reading portions, it appears it falls short on A&P.
Any tidbits of advice on resources you used to review Anatomy & Physiology before the exam that you felt were helpful?
Thanks! :nuke:

Our school required the same test only they included Chemistry and Biology as well! I took the test twice, once with no studying and a second time after completing the required online A&P class. My score improved by 10 points because of the required online class. I will note however that the second time I took the test the level of difficulty increased as well. The study book for the test is very basic. The best part was the quick remedial on the math. I would also suggest boning up on the info you do know really well and not try to teach yourself chemistry. In the end, it is the cummlative grade that is important. Good luck!
Asc5 - Was the required online A&P class that you mention something special your school offered for the HESI or are you referring to just a general A&P class that was not geared specifically for the HESI? If it's something specifically geared for the HESI A2 exam, it's not something I've ever heard of.
I will have completed Anatomy & Physiology by the time I take the HESI but since all tests have their own "special" way of approaching material I'm hoping to go in as prepared as possible. :wink2:
Sorry I did not clarify that! The A&P course I am speaking about is a school specific course. Just having A&P under my belt made a huge difference. But my A&P course was an online course through elsievier which was the same test site for the HESI. Do you have the review book for the test?

I am very nervous about the A&P portion of the exam. I actually took A&P1 back in 2003. I just took the lab last semester and I'm finishing up A&P2 with the Lab right now. Can anyone give me their opinion on that portion of the test and how to study for that portion of the exam
