Nursing Students School Programs

Published

So I have read some pretty horrible reviews about Herzing and it is pretty scary, however, I am about to start my journey with Herzing in August and I want to give the school a fair chance. Yes it is expensive to attend but Florida is embarking on this progress where hospitals are having/requiring magnet status which means that RNs need to have a Bachelor degree. Herzing does not have a waiting list so if you meet the qualifications, you are good to go. My goal is to post weekly or monthly updates on the progress to provide real up-to-date experiences that will either justify the complaints I have read or shed light on more updated information as to how the program is currently. I can confirm, however, that the school is accredited and their NCLEX pass rates are pretty high. I suggest you go to whatever state board of nursing website that applies to your state and research for yourselves so you can see where the school stands. Looking forward to reading your comments!

SincerelyX yes I got the book, according to it this is what to expect on the exam.

Wow ! Well please keep us updated on how the test goes and what it was like I take mine in Dec as well but u take it before me so good luck !!

I heard there's more anatomy and physiology questions on this test more than any other subject but that's from other people in different schools are saying so idk I've looked up and down online but all the reviews are all so different

Hey ! How did your test go? Was it hard? Any tips and pointers? I take mine on the 19th :nailbiting:

SincerelyX

I actually moved the test to the 16 of December, I was so nervous. I just feel like there's so much to remember! Have you been studying?

Hey mayrad yeah I've been studying but not that book I talk to the advisor and she said there's about 91 questions on the test so when I went on you tube I typed in the kaplan entrance exam and there were 2 videos that were helpful but they describe the test the same way so I'm following that route

So what exactly are you studying?

Any advise from what you've searched so far

Mayrad can you email me at [email protected] I can send You a photo of what it says for the the test

Okay I sent you an email!

I just took the Kaplan and got accepted into the accelerated BSN program last week. What are the thoughts on the program for those of you who have started? I am supposed to be getting a call from the dean today to determine which classes I need and that will determine if i begin in May or September. I am from NY and would have to move to the Orlando area to begin classes. I just want to make sure this school is worth the move!

Hello all. I took the TEAS test as well and passed but because I didn't go straight into the program I have to adhere to their new requirements, so I am scheduled to take the Kaplan test on February 16. Good news is if I do not pass I can use my passing TEAS test scores as long as I am enrolled before April. I would like to say I am familiar from all angles with having associates in HU currently and those that have graduated from HU. It is expensive and there will be hurdles but that's to be expected. But speaking factually Florida Hospital has HU graduate nurses working there. Eventually they will require all nurses to have a BSN.
