Hello everyone, I will be starting the new PMHNP program at Herzing University in September. Trying to see if there is anyone else that will be starting the program so that we can connect. Since it's a new program, there is no topic about this specialty and maybe this can provide opportunity for potential students to discuss.

That is a total of 5 semesters. I was told they do not allow you to "double up" the clinical rotations into one semester which is how you would be completed quicker. How did they say you could complete that quickly??
Hi @stephcope! I should have clarified to add that I also received credit for "Advanced Roles for NP." This gives me seven courses to complete. I plan to begin in March 2021 and will finish in August 2022 - also five semesters. You must have an extra class to take. I wanted to start in January, but my advisor said there were no classes for me to take. My first required course is available in March - psychopharmacology. We may have that one together. I'm still considering a couple of other options but am strongly leaning towards Herzing.

I am considering beginning this program in March. On my course plan, it states the Clinical Readiness course is worth 0 credit hours. Do you know what it consists of? Is it just an exam, review, what?
brandita5, maybe this will help.....

Thank you! Very helpful. Best of luck in your program.
Hello everyone,
I am a prospective student looking to get some advice and feedback from currently enrolled students about the pmhnp program. I would really appreciate any insight on your current experiences, positive things about the program, frustrations etc . Your feedback would be greatly appreciated !
Thank you so much !

I am not sure how much paper writing there will be in the PMc-PMHNP program. I do know that when I got my MSN it was nothing but writing APA papers. I appreciate having the APA manual but, it takes time to set your paper up and if you are not careful you can make a mistake. I wanted to share with my nursing peers a great resource that is very affordable. This resource formats your word document, creates your title and reference pages, and does your citations for you. You just fill in the blank and it formats it. The product is called PERRLA, LLC. perrla.com
I hope you find this helpful ?
