Hello everyone, I will be starting the new PMHNP program at Herzing University in September. Trying to see if there is anyone else that will be starting the program so that we can connect. Since it's a new program, there is no topic about this specialty and maybe this can provide opportunity for potential students to discuss.

I don't know why they told me there is no way I can get the program done in 20 months (like they had it advertised). Who is your advisor? I took advanced physio first half of this semester and currently talking advanced pharm.
I am considering the PMC-PMHNP program at Herzing and have submitted transcripts for review. I received credit for the 3Ps and could finish the program in 17 months (absent any clinical delays). This makes Herzing a very attractive option for me. My primary concern is difficulty finding preceptors as needed.

I am starting the PMc-PMHNP program at Herzing in January and also received credit for the 3 P's but was told it would take until August 2022 to complete the program. That is a total of 5 semesters. I was told they do not allow you to "double up" the clinical rotations into one semester which is how you would be completed quicker. How did they say you could complete that quickly??
From my experience with Herzing, they will try and get you to take as few classes as possible to stretch out your program over multiple semesters.
I completed my BSN through Herzing and was told it would be 4 semesters and take 16 months. I ended up taking 2 semesters and finished in 8 months. I had the time to devote to school so I finished quickly.

Denise--when did you receive that email? I have not received any emails to my personal or student accounts. I am not taking Adv patho but the clinical readiness course....
Just now, Denise Durham said:stethoscope, I received it yesterday. It is a general letter with nothing personal in it, would you like me to forward it to you? I don't mind.
That would be great! My email is [email protected]. Thanks!! ?
I was accepted back in September but, just received that email. Since it had some helpful info I thought I would mention it to everyone. Also, wanted to share, if you haven't read it yet, that you can forward your school emails to your personal email so you don't miss anything. Sorry you got my schedule, but that's okay.
