Herzing College??

Published

Wow! I just called Herzing and I was told that info is not given over the phone. I would have to go to Alabama for a nursing meeting. But I was told that there are no pre reqs required. They are all included in the program and it's a 12 month program. All I wanted to know was info on the cost, when are apps. accepted, when do classes begin... you know typical questions. If anyone knows any information please let me know. Although I live in Atlanta I may consider commuting it's only 2 hrs from my house. I just don't want to have to wait another year before I get into any other program.

Thanks for the info, could you email me personally I have some other questions I would like to ask?

matchsticktgt, if you don't mind me asking, what is the cost of the lpn program? I have not been able to get accepted into a cc nursing program, and am ready to get this thing going. I'm not getting any younger either! ;)

I'm sorry matchstick, I can't answer that I was only interested in the mobility program LPN to RN because I'm currently an LPN now. But to be honest they wouldn't give me any info over the phone. I still don't know how much the mobility program is.

Approx $19K I imagine, unless you have some classes (microbiology, etc.) to transfer in, which would reduce the number of classes you have to take.

Specializes in Dementia,. Alzheimer's.

The lpn-rn mobility is 20-24,000 I have a friend that is taking the class but its only 20,000 if you already taken anatomy2 and microbiology and a computer class. If you go up there to the school they will give you a list of the classes but it does not tell you the cost they told me the cost and I decide not to go with it because of how expensive it is but do what works for you

Hello Everyone,

I'm also from Atlanta considering the commute to Herzing starting in January. The information from this post has been helpful so far. Has anyone started the LPN or the LPN Mobility Program that can offer some more information. Thanks everyone you are making my new experience to this site a great experience.

I'm currently enrolled in the LPN program, clinical rotation phase...I'm very pleased with the course, but it is intense (same amount of classes in 1/2 the time)

What is a typical day like in the LPN program? What time do classes begin, what time do they end, and how many days a week do you attend? Sorry, but i'm just full of questions. Seriously considering applying, but I do live about an hour away. Thanks in advance!

Seems like there are a few of us considering the commute! We just need to get together and carpool. LOL. I'm also looking to know the hours of the program. Do you feel like you are going to be prepared when the lpn program is over?

ngrshm, have you checked into Excelsior's mobility program? It's online and my understanding is that clinicals are only conducted on a couple of weekends at regional locations(Atlanta being one of them). It's a little pricey in comparison to state colleges, but you have the flexibility of time and not having to commute out of state.

Yes! My clinical instructor is phenomenal (sp??) - over 25 years experience in cardiac, icu, L&D, etc...and loves her students...I'm really feeling "prepared" ....I just hope, hope, hope, that I will have her for my med/surg clinicals in 4 weeks...

Thanks matchsticktgt. You have posted some great information. Its good to know that you feel prepared. I wouldn't be good to take the drive from Atlanta to a program that doesn't prepare you. I hope I find out some good information at their info session on Tuesday!
