Could it be Pseudomyxoma peritonei?

Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis with a really intense presentation?
5 years ago I worked as a hospice nurse. My first training day I went with the nurse to a little lady's house. We had to change her abdominal dressing. It was open and draining, BECAUSE her "guts" were turning to gelatin. This is a very rare condition, and I can't seem to find it with out the official name (which I *used* to remember), which is very long!! haha.
Does ANYONE have an idea of what I am talking about?
It is fatal, it happens in the abdomen, and eventually (due to bacteria I believe) the "guts" just start to turn to gelatin and leak out.
Thanks if you can help :)
