hi! i'm a 2009 BSN degree holder in the Philippines,
i've passed the licensure exams in the Phils and just took oath last month as a registered nurse in the Phils.
But since i'm a permanent resident (immigrant) already in the US. i intend to seek opportunities in the US, particularly New York.
i've read from the posts and from the net that i need to have my credential verified by CGFNS thru their CVS service before i can apply for licensure for New York and NCLEX exam.
my questions are:
what forms should i pass to CGFNS for application for their verification service?
how many copies should i pass to CGFNS?
will i be the one to request the my academic records from the nursing school i've graduated from?
where will i mail the forms and where shall i pay the appropriate fees?
thank you! hope to hear from you guys!

CGFNS would request a transcript from your school of nursing, once they have all required document they will forward them to where ever u apply for NCLEX. You can pay for the Nclex online or via money order

hi thanks!
so i will send the CGFNS CVS application form together with the authorization for academic records and authorization for validation of registration/licensure to:
CGFNS International
3600 Market Street, Suite 400, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania 19104-2651 U.S.A.
via mail? then wait?
should i also apply online or can it be both?
thanks a lot for the help..you are enlightening me..

All the details for the CVS service are available at http://www.cgfns.org. This tells you what to send and where to send it. I just applied online for my CGFNS services, or you can apply by mail - it's totally up to you.

Moved to the International forum as many US nurses are not aware of the procedures a foreign nurse has to complete.
