Hello everyone, I had an interview today at a hospital but I stumbled a lot because I was very nervous. The thing is I went to the UNION to search for a job, the lady there sent me to another lady whom I don't know if she was HR, then she referred me to the nurse manager(NM). I was interviewed with the NM and after the interview she didn't say whether she would call or anything(just thank you). I walked out of her office confused, she didn't even give me a tour of the unit. She talked to me about the shift and asked about experience. I DID get the feeling I might be hired but again with the NM not asking when you can start or we will contact you or anything that gives hope, I am worried. I sent her a thank u note after and she wrote back saying it was a pleasure meeting with me. Oh my what does that mean? ohhhhhhh somebody comment pleaseeeeeeeeeee

hello everyone I have an interview coming up at Beth Israel Hospital coming up and this job means a lot to me. I get very nervous for interviews and can mess up by not getting over my thoughts the right way. I heard there might be a pharmacology test, can anyone give me an idea what the interviewing might be like and or the test? I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

Hello everybody I am also a foreign trained nurse with five years experience in the OR/ICU/PACU. I have passed the NCLEX and have ACLS and BLS. I am looking for a hospital in Brooklyn New york for a position. I worked in may of 2009 last. Any help would be highly appreciated I am looking for 12 hrs night shift. thank you.

Hi I am also an experience nurse, the trouble is my experience is foreign. Everywhere I apply they ask if I have US Experience. I am already registered here in newyork and I'm hoping to get a job soon.

Hey I got the same thing. I think they are basically looking for nurses with BSN. I am convinced that they don't need new grads, I am not a new grad and I have applied to so many post they had and that same name sent that exact mail saying i wasn't chosen at this time for an interview. After wasting time applying for so much of their positions I thought I would get a positive response

I would just like to say I have been with my this husband of mine since high school and we have a son together. I AM NOT MARRYING FOR A GREEN CARD. I am a human being so please. I am with him over 10 yrs, he is my husband whether i get a green card or not. As someone mentioned, the topic was not about my marriage and whether it is real or not it's about the contract.

Hello hime17, i am in the exact situation as you are but believe me i don't ever worry about that. I signed a 3 year contract with an agency here in new york but that was before i passed the Nclex and they had agreed to help with the green card sponsoring but now i'm married to a citizen, i am awaiting my work permit. I don't think of them again, they didn't do anything for me. I need a job in the meantime while i'm awaiting my work permit.

hey Sinawahi which state are you located? I am also waiting on my working permit in new york, I really need a job until i receive my permit to work. Any help out there? The wait is killing me.

Hello Arvaarva, I am also a foreign nurse passed the nclex in newyork state but i am gettinng married and my boyfriend for 10 yrs is a citizen so i guess i will be ok but for you i think u can try whiteglovecare.com.Call them and speak with them. I have a question for u, I already passed the nclex and awaiting my license, how long did u wait to get yours and how long before your name appear on the board of nursing? I already took the madatory courses.
