Hi everyone! I have the same problem too, i have 6plus years working in SNF and LTC with BSN-RN. I really want hopital job, all the jobs have "experience". I was thinking if i can go for a new grad training program, i don't fit in the criteria as a recent graduate. I went to job fairs. After seeing my resume, representative told me to go online and apply for certain floor as the floor is for "getiatrics",,, what does that mean? Very frustrated

NCLEX is a national exam. I don't think NY has better education than any other states do. All nurses have to pass the same exam. I endorsed mine to NY state. NY state requires us to take couple of online courses to endorse. Take a look at the State Board of nursing website of each state, each has different requirements. Or you can contact the state, they respond pretty quick too.

Hi there, I am a new RN grad. I was looking for VA hospitals. Most of the requirements were "applicant should be an US citizen". I am on student VISA. and at the mean time I'm applying for RESERVE thru MAVNI. Please suggest me something.

Bring your Resume (lots). They will ask you to submit even if they don't have any openings. Dress professionally. Are you talking about the Nursing Spectrum job fair? take a look at their website, for location and more info. I might attend.

I just got an email ,,, that they are delaying the clinics. Has anyone of you been informed?

Any one planning to attend the ADVANCE job fair at Jacob center on Tuesday? If you are,,,, do you think NEW GRADS would have some chance?

Do apply for NY state license a month ahead,,, they take at least 4 weeks. You won't get a job without one.

How did you applied for this? I did not find this for the last 2 months.

Hi Clement, Try nursing homes. Have you tried the recruiting agencies? I talked with some couple days ago, and emailed my resume. this is my new step of job searching since nothing seems to be working,,, although I've got 2 interviews so far,,,,,but still. I'm so frustrated of applying ,,,,,, i need a job.

I;m trying to move to NY too because the job market at my state is pretty bad too. I've trying to nursing homes now, I've got 2 interviews so far. Waiting for their response. So do try nursing homes for now.

have you called the state board of nursing? That happened to me too. I was just waiting for the ATT after I applied to the state and registered to Pearson. I was just for ATT. BUt when I called the state to ask abt the status of my app,,,they said that we need to call to verify ourselves or whatever..... anyway do call the state if you have made the payment to Pearson.
