  1. I took A&P 1 over the summer last year then took A&P2 and Micro in the Fall. So it is def allowed, I was not a matriculated student though, so I am not sure if that plays into that. I just went to BMCC to complete some pre-reqs.
  2. this link should help with questions on NYU and the application process... http://www.nyu.edu/nursing/academicprograms/bachelors/faq.html
  3. i wasnt put on any waitlist i was conditonally accepted pending the missing pre-reqs i still had to take, i was technically accepted to the school generally and when the pre-reqs are completed you then send ur info to the nursing dept and then you go from there and start the program i dont know the specifics because as i said i turned down dominican college. let me kno if i can be of any more help
  4. my gpa without the pre-reqs was a 2.98 or so and I got accepted last spring althought I ended up not going there so you should be ok. I believe 2.5 is the minimum.
  5. yes well i was accepted for the spring 2010 semester but i still need to knockout my nutrition course before beginning the 15mon program which will be in the fall.
  6. I wanted to know what the schedule is like for the 15month accelerated program, are you in M-F, 8-12hr days? Is it overwhelming? How difficult is it to keep up with course work, gpa minimum, studying, how are exams scheduled, considering semesters are usually 18credits, are professors good with scheduling exams around each-other.. please share clinical experience if possible... I'm excited, nervous and overwhelmed all at the same time and any help would be appreciated.. btw i start the absn in the fall 2010 thanks in advance:specs:
  7. thanks for the info that price tag is overwhelming... ahh i will be emailing you.
  8. I plan to also send in a formal letter to CMSV. The $38000 is for the two year program? Also I believe I only need the Nutrition pre-req to be considered ready for the nursing program, I dont know for sure yet though, when did you get to register? Also what does the first semester look like, schedule wise. I would love to have your email, we may be having courses together, who knows? I'm really just anxious about getting my financial info ready and finally have a picture of what the next few years will look like money wise. Cheers to us!
  9. I got accepted to NYU as well, the $38000 tuition is for what program? Did you get finaid info with your acceptance package?
  10. i will also be starting in the spring and this info would be helpful, did you complete all pre-reqs yet?
  11. Guiltysins is the tuition for the 18program the accelerated option or is this for the regular transfer second degree program. I applied for the transfer second degree program and want to get an idea of the cost.
  12. CONGRATS!!! I still have not heard from NYU yet, I have to have my professors of Micro and A&P2 fill out a mid-semester progress report to fax back to NYU. but im glad you got the great news!!
  13. classes begin at bmcc january 28th for the spring 2010 semester, biochem i believe is che 121. i would check the following link to search for any other courses you may need: https://websch.bmcc.cuny.edu/websch/
  14. I hear you.. good luck on your decision, I will keep you posted, if all else fails I will be in CMSV, which I am still excited/scared about.
  15. Same here. NYU is my top, but CMSV's small classes make it more appealing, I read around that NYU's courses consist of 100+ lecture courses, so that makes me hesitant about it. I also need to complete a few pre-req's I believe Nutrition and BioChem. I have to send in my reply to CMSV by the 15th though, so I hope that I get letters before then...
