I'm a foreign born, but educated in Nursing in the US. I can see your frustration. I also felt down when I failed my 1st nclex. It took me a year to recuperate and prepare enough to go for the 2nd time and retake nclex. I passed the 2nd time with 75 questions.
What I changed was the way I studied. I did a mental review daily after studying. I explained what, how, when, and the what ifs. Because in nclex world everything is wrong. Prepare again, strong, focused if you need to retake it. Best wishes.
I will suggest that u talk to Amy Lopez. Shez good. Also, I will recommend that you get: Saunders 6th and ncsbn learning ext and LaCharity prioritization, delegation and Assignment: practice exercises for the NCLEX examination, 2e or 3e is fine. Don't give up. I can feel your frustration. The secret is you can if others have done it. Be strong.
You might want to take a ESL (english second language) course. While you are proficient in communicating maybe you need assistance with how the test is worded. English can be a difficult language to grasp. I have had other IEN nurses tell me that is what they did and it helped. Thanks All !!I will try again for my goal.
Happy New Year, Everyone.

Hi.
I'm a international from Asia, and I'm a registered nurse in my country.
I immigrated to here, Cali, around 2years ago, and that time I started study for Nclex- rn myself.
I used saunders review book, Hurst review course, and Kaplan Q bank.
Today, I took a nclex that was my 6th test.
When I take a test first time i got 75 questions,2nd-86,3rd-75,4th-75,5th-76,
and today I got 75 questions.
After test, I tried new PVT. I did't see the good sign. I can pay for next registration.
( I didn't pay yet. I didn't push the reciept sumit.)
I just depressed and asked to my self " What is a problem? Am I really stupid?"
SO... Please, Give me a advice for my next test.
How about Kaplan review course? or just review my stuffs?
or.. please, Give me a miracle like my PVT was wrong..
