HELP!! Lehman college Nursing program 2015

Im so worried! I took my hesi today and my over all grade is 88! I study for anatomy for almost a month and i only got 76. I passed it by a point. this is annoying! but my math and reading was high which pulled me up to a 88. i think 88 in not enough to guarante my acceptance also my gpa! my prereq gpa is 3.8 and my cumulative gpa 3.6. Im applying for the generic program. Im really nervous!Anyone from the program already knows if my grades are enough in order to get into the program? It is killing me! anyone else applied??

i just got accepted to the generic program today. Those chemistry classes i took 10 years ago really screw up my gpa. I thought i would be taking less classes so its easier :no:. They didnt send me anything except the paper that i have to sign saying that im going to be in the nursing program. See you all in orientation!

CHECK YOUR EMAILS PEOPLE!

I just got another email from nursing dept. So... we DO NOT have to purchase our own insurance; this year school will get a blanket policy for students in the undergraduate generic and accelerated programs. Now I have to call the insurance company to cancel the policy I purchased yesterday...

The website says they ship out the top 2 weeks prior to clinical but that's always pretty much a lie. If you order it right now you should receive it sometime in July (prob during the middle). The earlier you do it the earlier you'll receive it (despite what their policy says).

as far as the shoes go does anyone know if we can use white sneakers?

Has anyone in the accelerated program received an orientation packet? I still haven't gotten mine :(

Thanks for the info ahreeol, if that's true then I shall have plenty of time to try the size on and exchange if I need to. I just gotta make sure I don't ruin the packaging... They have a super strict exchange policy...

@gniamey i got a call around 10 am from the nursing office. They never send me any email to me until i said i want to be in the generic program on the phone. Dont lose hope!

The orientation package said "no sneakers". I think it's tedious but reading everything in the package will be helpful especially later on in the program..

I got my orientation package email on June 24th, I received my acceptance email on June 16 and submitted my confirmation about 2 days later. Seems like a week turn around time is needed.

I can't speak for other accelerated people, since my situation was tricky and I "think" I am in accelerated program now lol. The orientation package should be exactly the same for both generic and accelerated though.

That is a tricky one... I think we have to get white shoes specifically designed for nurses or at least be OSHA compliant... can someone currently in the program answer that?

I am also an accelerated applicant and still haven't received my orientation packet. I called the nursing department yesterday and I was told the lady who is sending the emails isn't available at the office until next week. I wasn't convinced but what could I do? I intend to stop by the office in person next week God willing to check things out myself. Will send an update should I receive it, you may do likewise if you can. Anyway all the Best of Luck to us still waiting for our orientation packet lol...
