HELP!! Lehman college Nursing program 2015

Im so worried! I took my hesi today and my over all grade is 88! I study for anatomy for almost a month and i only got 76. I passed it by a point. this is annoying! but my math and reading was high which pulled me up to a 88. i think 88 in not enough to guarante my acceptance also my gpa! my prereq gpa is 3.8 and my cumulative gpa 3.6. Im applying for the generic program. Im really nervous!Anyone from the program already knows if my grades are enough in order to get into the program? It is killing me! anyone else applied??

@ sels im not sure why, i think my cumulative gpa was around 3.5. A for all bio classes, B for chem 10 years ago, B+ for orgo 10 years ago, B for Hin 268. I only apply to lehman college, so im glad i got accepted to something. My gpa from my old school was 2.8. I never got my grades for critical thinking too.

To find out why, you have to do a pre-req GPA calculation. Most likely your prereq GPA was right behind the first 70 applicants that got accepted. If that's around 3.5 and 3.6 then it makes prefect sense.

That makes sense. We can assume that most people who got into the generic program have more than 3.64 from their pre-req GPA. So this year a 3.7 was needed to be safe for the program.

I think someone got in without the waitlist with a 3.6, that could have happened with 4 possibilities: 1. dept calculated that person's GPA wrong, 2. that person calculated his/her GPA wrong, 3. you calculated your GPA wrong, 4. dept calculated your GPA wrong.

From my personal experience, possibilities 1 and 4 are more likely. After all I had a 4.0 and didn't get into accelerated until after I made an appeal. It happens. A good lesson for speaking out when something doesn't seem right.

Has anyone heard from the nursing department about the new and updated health clearance form? We were supposed to get it by today the latest, but I haven't received anything.

Reminder: DO NOT use the health clearance form from the orientation package!

Nope! Still haven't gotten it. I made an appointment with my doctor last week for tomorrow July 1st and had to call to postpone because of the delay from Lehman. It's ridiculous because the clearance form has a deadline and there's no guarantee that the doctor's office will give you a sooner appointment date before the deadline ��

Called the department this afternoon to ask about the clearance form and was told and I quote, "She's working on it right now". The lady I spoke to did not specify when we would get them but I'm assuming we should be receiving it through email by the end of this week. Latest by next week...

@AmmaO...I just received an email about the updated health clearance form and other attachments from the nursing department...I guess you received your email too by now...I am glad it came today since you can reschedule another appointment now without any problems..I am yet to schedule an appointment with my doctor...

I got the email too. There's a lot of important information in this update. A couple of forms need to be signed.
