Im so worried! I took my hesi today and my over all grade is 88! I study for anatomy for almost a month and i only got 76. I passed it by a point. this is annoying! but my math and reading was high which pulled me up to a 88. i think 88 in not enough to guarante my acceptance also my gpa! my prereq gpa is 3.8 and my cumulative gpa 3.6. Im applying for the generic program. Im really nervous!Anyone from the program already knows if my grades are enough in order to get into the program? It is killing me! anyone else applied??

You are fine. My friend has a 3.6 GPA and passed the exam with an 86. She got into the Lehman nursing program last year.
Now me? I'm really worrying. I have a 3.8 GPA in the prerequisites but I passed the hesi with a 81. I wonder if I will get into Lehman's Nursing program for Fall 2015. I'm stressing like crazy. For reading comprehension I scored 82%...and in the subsection Conclusions I scored 66%. I hope they dont factor in that part...god I am praying I get in. I studied. If anyone knows..please let me know so I can get a piece of mind!

hey guys! just wanna share my stats so far;
Science GPA at 3.67 (in the process of taking org chem and micro this semester)
CUM GPA 3.59
Hesi score: 90 Critical Thinking: 910
considering that lasts years cutoff gpa was 3.5 i think we are all fine so far, it all depends how Competitive our year is. hopefully its not extremely competitive.
but hopefully we get in! june is so far away. good luck guys.
3.8 is really good! im trying to get that this semester. that hesi score is good too, i honestly think they only care if you passed. the saftely zone is anything over an 85. but which are you applying for? generic or accelerated? (im trying generic)
i know i really hope its not that competitive. i heard that changed the hesi two weeks ago they that they made it harder. Im not sure if this is true. But if it is, we have more chance of getting in.
Hopefully my prereq gpa dont drop this semester. Im currently taking microbio and this class us so much work. Also, i really do not have the interest with the subject. i find it so boringg. Im applying for generic. Do you know how many students they are admitting for the generic program??

You should be fine. I graduated from the accelerated program in August and there were students admitted with an 88 on the HESI -- and our cut-off scores and GPA were higher than for the generic program. A 3.8 pre-req GPA and 88 on the HESI will pretty much guarantee admission.
Yea they did change the Hesi, supposedly its harder but idk. They also opened up April 18th and 25th for students who failed and want to take it over. Personally i don't think that's fair for us who took it once and passed the first time but whatever. My Micro is OK, luckily she curves our test grades!
I'm not sure how many people are admitted, I've heard people throw the number 60 seats, but I'm really not sure if that's accurate. but that 3.8 and 88 on hesi, you really shouldn't even stress it. You'll get it no doubt!
oh yea! thats unfair. we worked hard to pass the test and people that failed gets a 2nd chance. thats really unfair. they should make a policy that people can only take it once in 6 months.

The lab technician who administered the hesi exam explained to several students that did not pass, that the pass rate for the hesi exam was extremely low this year. They had to allow students to retake the exam because there were not enough people to fill the seats for the nursing program.
I see. However, this will affect the people that passed the test. But i guess its nice for the other students.
Yea it is, but our gpa's are high we should be fine. I also heard that the second exam will be more difficuly.
