Im so worried! I took my hesi today and my over all grade is 88! I study for anatomy for almost a month and i only got 76. I passed it by a point. this is annoying! but my math and reading was high which pulled me up to a 88. i think 88 in not enough to guarante my acceptance also my gpa! my prereq gpa is 3.8 and my cumulative gpa 3.6. Im applying for the generic program. Im really nervous!Anyone from the program already knows if my grades are enough in order to get into the program? It is killing me! anyone else applied??

To those who have been admitted, have you gotten any confirmation that your decision form was received? I'm paranoid that they somehow won't get my email..

@StarvingRtist

t definitely isn't a total loss. I hope they do decide in your favor.

@Jennifer 115

my email was sent from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) and

Good luck to everyone else still waiting on a response.

Congrats on everyone getting in! :up:

If you guys need help picking up a good schedule for next semester just let me know! (Through PM).

Many of these instructors lack online reviews so selecting a good one may be troublesome without knowing someone in the program.

Thank you ahreeol,

will definitely take up on that offer!

@Glowinthdark...i will send my response in person to the nursing department tomorrow..I have issues with emails..You shuld call and check to be satisfied..

Congrats everyone again and thank you Musicmurse7!

Glowinthedark, I wrote in the email "Please confirm that you have received this email" and she responded right away. I am not sure if that had anything to do with why I got a response.

Don't lose faith guys.. it doesn't really seem like they have themselves very organized over there. If I didn't hear anything by Friday, I would go in person next week.

Ah praying I get in and staying hopeful! Thanks everyone

Hi all, I just stopped by the nursing office a while ago, got some additional information.

Even though my pre-req GPA is 4.0 and I have a 92 on HESI, I still won't be accepted into the accelerated program. There are 20 seats for the accelerated program and 70 seats for the generic. Apparently more than 20 applicants have 4.0 on the pre-req's so they had to look at the overall GPA. My current overall GPA is 3.96 but less than 3.0 from my previous degree, so I was not accepted.

That is just one of the many different stories I've been told... I don't know what is true anymore. I did hear someone here with a pre-req GPA of 3.8 that got into the accelerated program, so I am really confused.

Anyway, I guess the most useful information I got for you all is that there are 70 spots in the generic program, a little better than the previously speculated 60 spots. I got that number directly from a faculty member.

Good luck to you all.

To those that already received their acceptances, congratulations! And I have a question:

Did your acceptance letters feel "heavy" or "light"? Lol, I know it's a little odd to ask, but I'm just curious. I have yet to receive anything and I can't tell you how many flips my stomach has done all week everytime I've checked the mail!

@StarvingRtist...That excuse is hard to understand...You are right that someone here with 3.8 had accelerated...I think they did not want to admit their mistakes..Anyway, tank God you had generic instead..Yeah, its true that this year's generic is 70 seats...I stopped by the department today...

Good luck to those still waiting...
