Hi there. I failed in 75.... sigh.... i know my content is weak. It is where I struggle. I am not here to have a pit party. I want to pick myself up and move forward. Any suggestions for where to restart? Thank you so much in advance.
Also, sorry to double post, but failing at 75 is slightly alarming. I would read a review book as well and review the basics.
The NCLEX asks questions in a similar manner, and once you get the theory behind the way they ask the questions it will be easier to pick the right answer. You start to get a sense of what the right answer is (even if you don't know the answer) after answering so many test prep questions.
I would reach out to your school as well. My school used ATI, and they had a class you can take if you failed the NCLEX the first time. Try to find resources from the connections you already have. Good luck!!

that's awesome! I'm rooting for you!! If you can make it through the hell that is nursing school, you can definitely do this ?

Hi, I passed my NCLEX-PN on the 11th try. The best advice I can give you is to reset yourself by just doing something you like to do after failing. Than after you reset yourself, go do Uworld questions and write out the rationales. Don’t just write out the answers to the question but the whole rationale. What I found was that Uworld’s rationales are giving away the answers to the NCLEX. It’s time consuming but worth it. People always say do several questions but doesn’t that mean you already know the content? Going through multiple questions is pointless if you can’t recall the content. When I go through those questions, all I can recall is a blurr of information so that’s why I choose to write things out.
I just passed the NCLEX, took it 2 days ago. If you haven't purchased UWorld yet, I would get Hurst. You do not need to write down rationales. You fill out their workbook as you watch all the videos in order. Their content sets a good foundation for when you're doing practice questions. The 4 simulator exams reflect the actual NCLEX plan and help you focus on your weak areas. I was out of school for over 2 years and took a year before finishing my last semester of nursing school. If I can do it, you can as well.

Okay! Thank you so much. It sounds like UWorld is the way to go.
