Please help. I have been in the PNAP program 7 months clean and sober. I got a letter today saying I missed a urine test about a month ago. I can only think I forgot to call that day because I have never missed one I knew about. What will this do to my license? I am back to work now and am really nervous about this. My records showed I have a urine test done 3 days after the missed date. I know all my ironed are clean I just hope they don't take my license. Please help!

I do not know about your program, but in VA, the first one is a warning, I think. What I do is have a binder with a section for drug screens and put my copies where I did them in it and each month, I have a calendar and with two color markers I mark when I am tested and not tested right after I check in. I do check in first thing in the morning and if I did not mark the day with an X, then I might have not checked in yet.

When you signed the contract it shoulda said what happens if u miss one...look in your paperwork...in NC the give you more than one chance if you make a mistake..except if you test positive..

Hi - I know here in La if you miss a first screen you get a warning. The fact that you had a negative screen so close to the missed screen would be helpful - but I know different states have their own rules. Good luck with them!

I always recorded each day the time that i actually checked in- & whether or not i was selected to test. that way i could always check & see if i had checked in- i was rather anal & paranoid about the whole thing!!
I check in at the same time every morning..I have an alarm set on my phone for it..

That was going to be my suggestion. Many phones let you set multiple alarms--set one up just for reminding you to call in.
Wish_me_luck's idea is excellent too--then you have a visual verification of whether you called that day. Heck, why not combine the two? Calendar and phone/alarm...better to go overboard and ensure that you never forget to call in.
As for what will happen due to your missed call-in...only your program can answer that. Check your paperwork.
Best of luck.

I have reminders on my phone and calendar, better safe than sorry. Hope you don't get in too much trouble for it!
When I got in our state's program, we had the color system in calling every day. I was "auburn" - I kept a blank calendar by the phone and every day I wrote down the colors.
